Rysheed Jordan

That's crazy talk. A guard getting a ton of minutes on a team with a depleted roster would never transfer mid-season.....

Oh....okay... I see...

Nurimind what I just wrote.

@HowieKussoy @NYPost_Brazille any truth to this rysheed Jordan rumor?

Zach Braziller ‏@NYPost_Brazille 1m1 minute ago
@cwih34 I was told last night no

Jordan has not played well....period. He has potential, has shown potential, but there is nothing worse than wasted potential. It appears he wants to carry himself like a star and be thought of as a star but he hasn't played anything close to a star's game. If he wants to transfer, don't let the door hit you on the way out. It would hurt our depth for sure but so be it. I am not a big Lavin fan but I have no problem with his handling of this situation at all. Look at Harrison's reaction to Lavin's treatment and Jordan's (assuming he transfers, which seems a big if; I don't know Tom's source and it doesn't appear anyone else has picked it up yet); to me it speaks volumes as to the character of each. I know which one I would like to be in a foxhole with. Last point, Obepka wanted out, stayed and he certainly looks like a better player for it.

Unfortunately Zach B sources are usually coaching staff and they would not have spilled that news to him

My guess is that Lavin is using both tough love and protective therapy on the young man. There could be a case of fringe Tourette syndrome going on. He has exhibited neck tics during games and is forbidden to speak to the press for fear of a sudden outburst of GoFckyoself. None of this should affect his game performance and having annointed himself as the next SJ NBA hopeful, Steve Lavin has little to lose since he and his staff are also dressing/looking the part of lame ducKS themselves. Lavin's attire has been a cross between "I don't want to get out of bed" and "I will wear under armor since it's free", while Rico Hines and his beard clearly sends an I'm out of here message. Of course I make these assumptions strictly based on my extensive experience reading Psychology Today and my keen observational gift.

It'd be a big deal. Regardless of how you feel about his playing what happens if Branch gets hurt (like two years ago)? We already need to worry about basically all the other starters getting hurt due to our limited depth, but this would just be adding to that problem. PG and CO the two areas we can't replace this season.

It'd be a huge deal. This is the biggest recruit in the Lavin-era, and he would be leaving a team that just became ranked, and needs a successful season in the worst way.

That too of course.

Told last night by source close to Rysheed Jordan he wants to be out after this year, head to NBA, but nothing about transferring. #sjubb

I'd bet this is true solely because whenever there is bad news it turns out to be true. Just look at the last month regarding Briscoe, Keith Thomas, ADR...

EDIT: you'd have to think some players will step in and talk him out of it. For most of the team this is their last chance and the chemistry and spirits seem at a high.

Hopefully Amar is teaching him Bosnian lingo.

Let him go the NBA, transfer, quit, whatever. Based on what I've seen the past season and a half, he has no chance in hell in being drafted unless its by the Knicks or 76ers. So sick of this crap. Go get some 4 year players and be done with these so-called stars.

Uh, I said it would hurt our depth for sure. Having said that, enough is enough; if he wants to leave because he is not starting because of terrible play, see ya!!

Terrible is a stretch IMO. He's played alright with too many turnovers. If he does transfer I'm not buying it's because he doesn't start. Because he's still been getting starters minutes.

Just got a call back that the tweet about Jordan transferring is completely erroneous and a transfer would just delay his dream of playing in the NBA

Uh, if he leaves it hurts us and has potential to end our season with a Branch injury. It's a huge deal, period. This is PG, arguably the most important position. You're downplaying this. Lavin and the team need to talk him out of it if true.
