Ok….This has all the same qualities as Norm’s mystery recruit back in the day
Sorry but got a kick out of asking if we have a chance at unnamed mystery kid

There is a starting forward spot up for grabs if a 4- or 5-star transfer wanted in. But if a kid isn't a significant upgrade over Pinzon (my choice), Wusu, or Storr, then there's no point.I personally just can't kid us landing another transfer for this year. There simply aren't enough minutes to give out that would entice anyone of substance to come here, while also keeping who we currently have happy.

Yes, all of this. We are in a position to be patient, and more selective. I don’t see another guard joining this team, and the 6’6 -6,9 versatile wing are in high demand. Not my preference, but would not be surprised if they don’t get the elusive difference making shooter, lose out on Awaka and save the last scholarship. If they could get Awaka, take him and go to battle with what you have I guess and hope Wusu, Pinzon, Jones, Storr and perhaps an improved Posh get it done from three. May not have a choice, but at least SJ will be competitive in BE, which I did not anticipate pre portal.

Do you think that Nywie, can be an effective shot blocker? He's athletic and seems intelligent, am hopeful he can fill that role more effectively this year.Yes, all of this. Still a lot of irons in the fire so to speak, and I have faith that some of these guys retained will make some drastic improvements in the off-season.
Personally, I would prefer a shot blocker. We have the potential to be a nasty team defensively next year. Rebound and run run run. Not worried about the offense.

Keeping the scholarships you've used happy and leaving the flexibility to add someone during inevitable mid year transfers. Those might not outweigh the benefit of adding a quality guy with last spot.Is there a benefit to not using all available scholarships?
Nywie will definitely improve and be more effective, however I want a specialist though.Do you think that Nywie, can be an effective shot blocker? He's athletic and seems intelligent, am hopeful he can fill that role more effectively this year.
I actually think he'd win the starting PF spot if we deploy Jones at SF. If we opt for Jones to line up at PF then I think it's a three-man race to fill the SF spot.Awaka would be a good get.
I would argue that if someone like Patrick Baldwin Jr. decided he wanted in because CMA and his dad know each other through various coaching organizations, you take him and don't look back. The bottom four guys might be unhappy, but passing up a more solid top nine than we have now would be crazy in my opinion.I would argue those minutes are already taken by guys currently on the roster. A 4 or 5 star transfer is going to want 30 mins a game. So then you now have 4 starters who are expecting 30+ mins a game. Simply not enough minutes to give out, especially with trying to keep the current guys happy and not expecting another mass exodus next off season. Delicate balance.

He doesn’t strike me as a guy who would play the 4 in CMA’s system.I actually think he'd win the starting PF spot if we deploy Jones at SF. If we opt for Jones to line up at PF then I think it's a three-man race to fill the SF spot.
I think he'd give us more than Stanley would as a starter there, and Nyiwe is more suited to energy guy role off bench. He doesn’t strike me as a guy who would play the 4 in CMA’s system.
Who’s your 4th man out in that three man race scenario?
