Either that or postseason appearances at St. Johns. Oh wait...

Thanks for posting that. I'd say if they were younger I'd be super scared, because they'd also be doing dumb crap like removing team photos/photos of each other from their social media. But this is enough to be a little concerning.Adam post=463993 said:Agree that CMA absolutely needs to say something. Tonight. Verified and well connected sources were sharing these rumors publicly.
I'm not a fan of how CMA hasn't tweeted for nearly a month and Cragg for nearly two. They were clearly waiting for things to turn around first before coming back. Now we're here, there's no running away, and it's time for them to acknowledge what has happened and what will happen going forward.

Three years ago, we didn't have cohesion at the administrative level between the University President and the A.D. Athletics at St John's were an after thought and clearly not a priority. We were being run like a mom and pop shop and not like the multi million dollar enterprise that it is.
That is no longer the case this time. Fr. Shanley and Mike Cragg see the big picture and share a common vision regarding the importance of athletics and how it's success will greatly benefit the St John's University community.
If CMA decides to leave for the Tulsa job, there will be more than adequate time to conduct a full and thorough search to find the right person to lead our program. I am confident in our administration's ability to make that happen.

No one can argue that.
We have some St Johns Baseball saturdays coming up after the tournament is over if you want to come with the 114 guys and myself againAndrew post=464016 said:I will take it one day at a time with this Tulsa thing and the whole offseason in general. I will enjoy the NCAA tournament and then baseball season. Its six months until the fall semester is under way and we probably won't know what our team and possibly our coaching staff will look like until then and who knows what other curveballs will come our way.

Lavin? Whether or not you think he should have been fired the first time, rehiring somebody we previously fired would be a new low even for us. Can we all agree that if we do hire a new coach, it should not be somebody who was previously fired? I’d go further and say we should hire a young, hungry coach with local roots.
If you can name anyone who has or can recruit like him I’m all ears.Boo Harvey post=464018 said:Section3 post=464015 said:Hope it isn’t true as I don’t want to lose any of the core players nor the recruits. But, if it is, short of a home run, should include Lavin among those considered.

For perhaps a number of reasons, Lavin did not recruit all that well his last few years. I have serious doubts he would be able to recruit at a high level if he were come back again. And then there is the issue of his in-game coaching. If Anderson does not return, we need a fresh start!
