Tariq Owens

Owens was just suspended for failed drug test. Guess NCAA read Jack's post.

Be 100 percent proud of your kid. Sing to the heavens about it. No one would have thought anything about it. He would have come across as mature, the way parents should act.

Afterall, this is your kid's moment. It's as if the dad did not want to be left out. He interjected himself into something he could easily have avoided.

The majority of us wish him luck in the final four. Heck, I was rooting for TT because of him, and because I dislike Gonzaga.

If any of my kids get in a position to succeed in something they love, I will have my phone locked away. I will enjoy being a passenger going through the waves of emotions and their ultimate path to happiness.
What do you have against Gonzaga
They are Jesuit.
Catholics hating Catholics. That's funny
And yet kind of defines theism perfectly.
Just so we are clear, my dislike for Gonzaga has nothing to do with their Jesuit affiliation, and all to do with their record against SJU in the NCAA's..
I know. My disdain for theism has nothing to do with either. Zags had STJ's number a few times in recent memory but I still can't find myself feeling any animus for the little guy all growed up.
I look at it thusly; if one of your loved ones gets possessed by the devil, or Fr. Harrington, would you seek assistance from an atheist, a Vincentian or a Jesuit?
May I suggest a psychiatrist.

Bleacher Report article on Tariq Owens

Really nice article Andrew. Thanks for posting. I know who I am rooting for tomorrow...

Anyone who begrudges Owens decision to play for the coach of the year with a trip to the Final 4 over playing for a part time coach is way off base.

Not an exaggeration to say he went from the worst coaching staff to the best.

On Friday's episode of PTI on ESPN Jay Bilas said that Reggie Miller attended a Texas Tech practice session and it was the most well run practice he had ever seen.

Because he plays for Texas Tech and that game is after the Virginia game.

No worries Ron, I have more of those every day. Ten years ago, I only had leg cramps!
