 I really, really feel sorry for these guys. It has got to the point where it just is not fair. They can play hard but when you are limited offensivly and have to play a passive zone to avoid foul trouble, it is the receipe for bad loses. I really hope that Lavin is out telling recruits that their is a lot of playing time and that this year was a learning expereience for these freshman, other wise it is going to be a long while until we reach the tourney. And I am a true believer in this team, but it is getting hard to watch.

 

Admire your positive view, but hope Lavin has that recruiting class he refers to. imperative to shore up inside D and add some three point prowess.

SH has mad 14 3's and is shooting 60% are going to win a lot of games shooting like that, but we still are giving them far too many easy looks.

Some is. But it was pretty clear, Lavin didn't recruit enough offense in this class. That is on him and needs to be fixed if we want to get back to the NCAA next year. Pressure is on to find some.

People can bring up the playing time argument all they want, it is going to be very hard to get recruits to believe in this program when we lose to Seton Hall by 30 points.

Yes, we are well aware that this team is shorthanded. But that is no reason why only one of our players can shoot the ball and we barely even attempt to play defense whatsoever. I'm hoping Lavin has some serious magic up his sleeve because five mid tier recruits aren't going to suddenly transform this team into a contender next season.

it all comes back to the fact the admin kept norm too long and we were left to recruit too many first yr players with sketchy grades. I blame them and I have a bad feeling you will see maybe 4 of these guys next yr, a different coach and starting all over again. I am as much a homer as anyone I may be done. After 40 yrs I cant take it anymore.

Offense wasn't the issue although it wasn't good. They shot like 80% which was the problem. We just don't have enough bodies echo is the real problem. We have nobody to go to besides what is out there. Seton Hall has a full bench. Yes the have some kids that can shoot because they have more than double the amount of players we have.
