Sacred Heart, Wed., Dec. 6, 7p, CBSSN

Weathermannyc just texted our 114 crew that Kenyon ranking just went from 62 to 53 after this win
We are #36 on offense and #96 on defense. considering we were in the 200s on defense after Dayton, with two of the five single worst performances in all of the NCAA, this is big, and encouraging, progress.

Bring on Purdue!

We play Michigan now, it's a different story IMHO. Play with a health R.J. Luis, we win.

Let’s pull the brakes.
First of all they beat us like they were angry with us, 2nd Luis played one game against a bad team and who knows when/if comes back.

Team looks a lot better but getting carried away rooting for this team is never a good idea.

Full props for doing what we had to do. But you just can't draw any conclusions about any of our players after beating a team that DePaul would have clocked.

Not aimed at you at all, but one can’t really draw any conclusions from any games that are over. Many fans think you can, but the very nature of sports, that which gives us the beauty of sports, is that you absolutely cannot. A season is an adventurous journey, an unscientific process, not a formula.

Not really because Michigan has lost three in a row (five out of its last six) games after their nice start (which included beating SJU). Neither team is the same just a month later.

Still have to clean things up.
Really have to avoid our yearly bad BE start.

What I absolutely love about CRP is that the final score is far from the only metric that he assesses the game. How did we do on defense? Were there lapses, blown assignments, failure of individuals to play as a unit. How did the ball move on offense? Did guys shoot off good looks? Did they make the pass that leads to a pass that leads to an easy shot? At one point we had assists on 19 of 24 baskets - that had to please Rick.

Regardless of score it is slowly coming together. Every minute on the floor for zuby, wilcher, and brady are opportunities to be battle tested when conference play starts. That's more important than 35 point wins.

If I go the the philarmonic all i care about is hearing beautiful music. For now, watching this team improve game by game, is enormous fun and purposeful.

How good will we be? I don't know, but I do know they will be better than today.

Agree. They beat the brakes off us all year. We don’t have a guard to stop McDaniel.

If anything, it could be worse. He didn’t realize he could beat Jenkins at will until the end of the first half. And then he did it every possession.

I could be wrong, but it appears to me that Wilcher busts it on defense and does not get beaten off the dribble.

How is your cocker spaniel doing since Jenkins ran it over with his car before the season started?

That is the only reason I can think of for the deep dislike of one player right from the opening season tip.

Jay Wright said Wilcher is a pure PG a few times on the telecast last night.

I think the guy knows a thing or 2 about coaching 🥴
I think the quote was “more of a pure point guard” compared to Jenkins after saying Jenkins was a combo guard.

I think there is still a little gap between Wilcher and a pure PG, but he’s in the ballpark.

I believe Jenkins is actually more of a wing that can handle than a combo guard the more I watch him.

Wright seemed to like Wilcher’s play after he missed a pretty much open 3 from the deep corner . The Rebound was tipped out to Alleyne , I think , then to Dunlap and then , back to Wilcher who had moved a few feet out of the Corner and this time , drained the 3 .
