Sacred Heart, Wed., Dec. 6, 7p, CBSSN

BRRR--it was cold out at the campus but it was at least enjoyable result. Did what we were supposed to do. The 17+ point spread may have influenced a number of people to watch the game in the comfort of their homes but still another sell out at CA.

I like to look at the team as a work in progress as coach Rick says and see improvements in different parts of the game. Tonight the passing was significantly better with 25 A's on 31 baskets but coming in to game we were averaging 12+A's per game. Jeeze Joel with 6 A's--who knows, maybe a triple double someday. Defense kept up good spacing and we were cognizant of the corner shooters for threes.

Definitely seeing this team improve each game. The starters looked good and any minutes the young guys get is a positive. Having huge leads allows the young guys to stay in and play through mistakes.

We were up 30 but it never felt like garbage time. I consider the mistakes learning opportunities vs negatives. Looking forward to starting league play to see what we really have but I am encouraged.

He's played like a freshman. He's made a couple of really nice plays and a couple of WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? plays.
He is not playing like a four star frosh. Posh as a three star played far better. It’s not even close. I agree he has potential. Disappointing so far.

Posh fell to three star because of injury and ranking services never readjusted.

It’s really tough being a freshman in the big East. It’s even tougher being a freshman point guard for Pitino on a veteran team in the big East.

Wilcher’s making some mistakes but he’s improving. Defensively he’s been much better stopping the ball (although it’s not close to what it needs to be) and he’s done a better job fighting thru screens. I’ve liked his aggressiveness on offense. Hes a totally different player than Posh. I hate the comparison. Maybe Lovett? Idk.

Hard to take much from this kind of game, but it was good to see Soriano pick up 6 assists. We will need that from the front court the rest of the way because we don’t get many drive and kicks.

Wilcher disappointed slightly. I like everything Dingle does on offense and just which he got more chances to handle the ball.
He is one of those guys that always gets his shot off at the rim. Ledlum is the opposite
