Originally recruited by Auburn & Tenn. when he played HS ball in Florida. Probably has been to Pearl's house for barbecue this week. Lol
Guys like this could possibly help our front court;
@JucoRecruiting: Impressed with Igor Ibaka (6-8/F) of NE Oklahoma. Four man with a good frame. Younger brother of OKC Thunder's Serge Ibaka.
You had me at four man with good frame.
Sounds like you're describing Christian Jones
Let's hope he can be a useful rotation guy next season
Do not sell Christian Jones short. He is a physical specimen who needed to learn to rebound and play some defense. If he improves in those areas he will be a valuable player off the bench. Adonis is a very slow player right now but he could be a very different player in a year with conditioning.
I don't think anybody is selling Christian Jones short. If Sampson and Obekpa return for their junior season, then I think a combination of Jones and Adonis Delarosa will be more than adequate giving Lavin valuable minutes off the bench. Where it gets dicey is if the rumors are true and CO really is on the way out. I hope that's not the case cause if it is St. John's will be absolutely punished in the paint next year.
Trevor Jackson played here for four years and was on the 82/83 BE Tournament Champs and Sweet Sixteen Team. His twin brother Robert played at St. Francis, Bklyn after transferring form somewhere. Both went to Springfield Gardens HS. Initially though, they both might have verbally committed here.who do we really lose? Orlando and gift!? I think Jones will give us at least what Gods Gift has given us on the floor this year and with De la Rosa I think we will be fine.
Don't forget his brother of FIU fame.
I was just about to say (in another thread), I saw what you did with your avatar, Paultz. I, immediately knew the player when I saw it. Heard rumblings, too, eh?
Enlighten me on what you guys are talking about...
Sounds like a package deal is brewing. But is Joey any good?
He's big. 6'11. Thats about the best thing you can say about him.
I guess redux of the brothers (actually twins) we had many years ago...Trevor and Travis (??)...can't remember last name
Seems like a good fit. A big man who will be eligible right away, solid inside game and a nice touch on his jumper. It doesn't hurt that he has experience playing against top teams like Cuse, Duke, Uconn and L'ville as opposed to a kid coming in from a JUCO school.
St Johns BBall's twitter followed him so I'm guessing there is some interest there.

I didn't listen to the entire thing but he is a 4. Wants to work on his game in hopes of playing pro ball. Not concerned with scoring as much as other parts of his game. Seemed to hint that Temple's style didn't really allow him to showcase his abilities.
I'm interpreting his words to mean that he likes to rebound and play defense, and that he likes an up and down game.
Would fit nicely in Sanchez's slot and give Christian Jones the opportunity to come off the bench. I hipe we give him a call.
Tilton looking up his # I guess;
@GoodmanESPN: Temple transfer Anthony Lee's list continues to expand. He's heard from Louisville, Ohio State, Florida, FSU, USC, Miami, Pitt, NC State.
Thats what I said. Even if a transfer has to sit out a year,he could serve us in 15. Don't want to again rely on recruiting too many players and being the youngest team in America.Also never know which recruits could decommit due to coaching change.I really hope Joey DelaRosa is not on a scholarship. Too many very good transfers available.

First you say he hinted that Temple's style didn't allow him to showcase his abilities.
Then you say he would fit in nicely in Sanchez' slot.
Sanchez didn't showcase anything this year.
Unless we bring in an Xs & Os coach, a player who graduated isn't going to waste a year here playing freestyle ball.
No offense. I'm just saying.

Nobody ever mentions St. John's and recruits.
