Recruits for next year?

who do we really lose? Orlando and gift!? I think Jones will give us at least what Gods Gift has given us on the floor this year and with De la Rosa I think we will be fine.

Don't forget his brother of FIU fame.

I was just about to say (in another thread), I saw what you did with your avatar, Paultz. I, immediately knew the player when I saw it. Heard rumblings, too, eh?

Actually spoke to him at CHSAA semis last week. He told me he is enrolled at SJU, working to rehab an injury & intends to play with Johnnies. Claims to have two years left, but I believe he would have a season and a half. Not getting excited, based on past performances around here & FIU stats. Hopefully he has improved. Guess his brother is likely if this comes to fruition.

His little brother will be here.

Is already.

Decently recruited and ranked kid. 1.9 rebounds in 5.9 minutes per game this year...not bad. He'll have a year left...half-year if he decides to play in 2014-2015. I am assuming that is the plan. Just lilke that we are the biggest team in the league lol.
His #s are pretty underwhelming, but he's a huge kid.

I assume Joey is paying his own way now, but will be on scholarship next season?

Doesn't leave room for Lawrence to transfer in if Mason takes the last scholarship. ;)

To inject some humor, with our luck, we get Joey and not Adonis. Kidding.

And with the ability to evaluate talent displayed on this site Joey will be the star and Adonis a spear carrier!

Unless CO leaves. Taking up 2 scholis for the Adonis brothers may not be that great of an idea. We don't need 2 projects. Could really use another shooter and you never know what transfers and decommits there could be soon.

not a big deal for next year, as they have plenty of talent coming back, but they need to stack the deck for 15-16. No reason they cant be a perennial top 3 team in this league..

Not a big deal in the backcourt but a very big deal up front where we are bereft of talent. We lose Gift and Sanchez. Keep Obekpa and Sampson. Gain Jones and the De la rosa Brothers - one an overweight rookie, the other averaged 1 and 1 at FIU. Do the math. That's going backwards.

I do not think we lose anything

I feel like I say the same thing every damn year...we need a reliable 3 point shooter.

The ability to have our team finish layups and hit free throws would be nice, too.

These are the 3 things that I found to be most troubling this year. We struggled way too much in these basic fundamental areas.

Enlighten me on what you guys are talking about...

Sounds like a package deal is brewing. But is Joey any good?

He's big. 6'11. Thats about the best thing you can say about him.

I guess redux of the brothers (actually twins) we had many years ago...Trevor and Travis (??)...can't remember last name

I like the idea of Adonis, could develop into a nice player over 4 years. But, Joeys numbers at FIU were horrible, he hardly played. Would love to have him as a walk on, but wouldn't waste a scholi on him if we re already getting Adonis.
