NMHopefully that's his standard! He looked lost against K-State. I was very impressed last night

Good point, not by much. And , is Scott really an upgrade over Glenn Taylor ? So far ?
Agree, kind of a dumb thing to say when they have to face them again at the Garden. It essence he made his own team look bad.Wow! Surprised English would make a statement like that. See you on February 1 at MSG.
It may also have to do with the fact that PC had superior talent on the court last year with a first round draft pick.Amazing finish but quite similar to last year's game at Providence where we also scored 72 points but in that game Providence had one more 3 pointer on one more attempt and won by 3. This year we controlled the ball much better with only 6 t/o's versus 16 in prior season's game.
What did Coach English say last night ? I missed itAgree, kind of a dumb thing to say when they have to face them again at the Garden. It essence he made his own team look bad.

Come on Paultzie it was a game winning buzzer beater even Sister Jean would have leapt out of her wheelchair and raced onto the court after that shot!
The point of the post was that Glover is no way as good a defender as Scott and should get some of Scott's minutesGlover looked excellent on defense last night
Just nice to see a good group smell the roses, a buzzer beater rarity hereCome on Paultzie it was a game winning buzzer beater even Sister Jean would have leapt out of her wheelchair and raced onto the court after that shot!
They heard him in second half. It worked! How did that work out for you?
To give him benefit of doubt I think he meant to say it was only things we did well during game, which is accurate.
I think too much is being analyzed here these guys are coaches not politicians. I’m sure that’s what he meant to say and it just came out the wrong way. What he should have said without offending is that those are the 2 things they do best.
Safire where are you. I miss him.“Effete Core of impotent snobs .” Referring to the media .
I agree bot Friars did not isolate and attack him. I hope he develops. Explosive playerGlover was actually good defensively last night in his limited time. He has great length.
Smith is a stud. Only going to get better. Scott had two plays in end game that won game. Pitino singled him out in presser. He was outstanding in Bahamas. His shot will settle in. He hit a mid range yesterday. Better than Taylor. Can defend any position. We got ourselves a team here.Glover will get eaten up on the defensive side of the ball. Scott will not
Both statements trueLove Deivon but think this team goes nowhere without Zuby
I was there. We had maybe 75 more vocal fans but far from a home game. Low ceilings in ballroom. Moisture on floor with guys falling. Leak from ceiling at center court. Three games in four days. No opportunity to practice on one of courts. Not the friendly rims of Jamaica. If we are in Vegas invitational next year will be challenging for sure.Yes, especially since to my surprise we were effectively the home team in the Bahamas as our fans showed out that weekend.
Spot on.As Mean “Where is my life boat” Gene noted this team obviously still suffers from perimeter shooting woes. Hopefully that comes around, because it makes it easier for opponents to play off shooters and collapse, clogging driving lanes.
Gene’s point re this group having to overachieve via intense, consistent defense to generate some easy buckets and disrupt offensive flow of opponents is spot on. The second half D won the game. Best case scenario is the D functions at mega high level, while there is adequate improvement in outside shooting. Realistically, until latter improves I expect a lot of rock fights. Valuing the ball and playing smart is also a work in progress, but trust staff to remedy that. (hopefully).
Lastly, I think toughest opponent for us will be teams who match our physicality and defense, while demonstrating better shooting and ball movement. UConn may fit that profile.
PitinI know it's only part of the equation, but he's shooting better from '3' and from the line than RJ.

we don’t know what role Pitino wants Scott to play. Maybe it’s the three. He did take and hit a mid range yesterday. Scott was money in Bahamas. He will sort it out.And , is Scott really a upgrade over Glenn Taylor ? So far ?
