Posh is such a monster that he will end careers. There will come a time when Posh will be the first thing his opponents think of when they wake up in the morning, and the reason they can't go to sleep. They do not want this work. Almost every PG in the game will be broken mentally by him.
He looked like a senior and he made Gillespie look like a freshman

Posters on the Villanova pay site don't get it.

Pretty near every poster in the post game thread writea about Villanova having an "off night" without acknowledging that St. John's is pretty damn good.

One poster offered to bet that Nova beats St. John's by 20 in the rematch (don't know if he was serious), followed by another who replied saying that Nova would "tear St.J's to shreds".

Kudos to CMA and staff, I've been critical but to pull out these games despite our glaring deficiencies speaks volumes.

Dunn and Earlington frustrate the hell out of me, but they are giving it their all and both have contributed during this hot stretch.

We are a Champ corner three away from having a seven game win steak. Hard to believe and pleasantly surprised.

Wow, what an incredible performance!  The way this season has turned around is beyond words. Posh is a revelation and Champagnie is just so good and so solid even on an off night.  Cole hit some critical threes tonight and Wusu just continues to get better.  Way ahead of the curve.

I  have been very critical of CMA's recruiting.  But as several of you rightky pointed out, it's results that matter and not high school rankings.  And these kids are really playing well.  Posh and Champ are playing like five star kids and the terrific thing is that we should be able to enjoy seeing them for multiple years.

I did not see this winning streak coming and am just thrilled to eat my words.  If we do come down to earth a bit -- I hope we don't -- I pledge to remain positive this year.

If we continue to play solid, we have a legitimate chance to dance.  Who the heck would have thought that after the Creighton game.  I'm elated

=====

MJ has the best quote of the night.

Takeaway: defense wins games.

Individual and team defense was there most of the night. Allowed a few too may offensive rebounds that was the only downer.

Close-outs mostly good all night; some great non-fouling off the ball block shots, by Wusu and Champ.

Very few back door cuts for easy baskets allowed, maybe one.

All in all Al LoBalboa would be smiling tonight.

As I said earlier...we give no respect...we play our game and let the chips fall where they fall...no doubt but a belief that we are St Johns!.let's bring the swagger back to NY power st johns! To all the negativity....this doesn't end here! We are St. JOHNS! We as fans should only be as cocky and confident as our warriors....and for you guts that really want to see us fail....WE DONT NEED YOU!

Typical entitlement attitude you'd expect from a program with great past success. They may not like that Posh ate Collin alive, but they need to accept it. Their past success means nothing when Posh chews them up and spits them out.

Now that CMA's uptempo system is working I wonder how many recruits in the class of 3032 wish that they had given Sy. John's more consideration before accepting the "shiny" out of town offer.

Loving this team -  fun to watch.. tough, gritty and gaining confidence

A dominant win -  don't buy the "Nova was off" chatter -  SJU's D rattled them

Only thing missing was to see the cardboard cutouts rush the court post game

GO REDMEN!

postscript:

I never stay up for the post game TV interviews:

what a treat,

Anderson so classy, the first words out of his mouth, what a great team and what a great coach Villanova has. Tough team to play, before going on to credit his guys. Us old timers, will remember that is exactly how Looie started off every post game interview, always complimenting the other team.

When Julian was interviewed, same thing, low key and classy, all the way, this kid is special. Villanova came after him, obviously their game plan was to make sure Julian did not beat them, tried to and did take him out of the game. So what he does is rebound, block shots, and finally when he got open make shots and free throws.

LOVE THIS COACH, LOVE THIS TEAM.

Getting some national exposure tonight. Greg Williams dunk #2 on Sportscenter Top 10. College Basketball Live opening segment could not stop gushing about how good Posh is.
