I have not seen an on ball, baseline to baseline, defensive player like POSH ever.
Rutherford from last year was phenominal too.  But if u want to put posh above him, i wont argue.

Rutheford was terrific.  Kid busted his butt 100 percent of the time and was a terror on defense.  He was more foul prone than Posh and obviously was not the same offensive player.

That was fun.  Great TEAM effort.  Also it appears the players are developing throughout the season.  Cole and Moore are rising to understand big time 4 year game.  Posh's shoting from outside and beyond the arc have been more proficient over the last 5 games without being like Ponds and throwing up one from all over, all the time.  Dylan's footwork (and the team;s) have gotten better.  % in a row in the second half of the season--is this a pattern of CMA teams to improve and be in condition to get stronger at the end of season?

I am seeing something different in Posh's game every night.  Tonight I was impressed by how fast he is on full court defense as he is as fast as his opponent when he is running backwards and the opponent forward; he also has a sense to pick near center court and has been getting by without losing his opponent.  Can't wait to see him play in person.

As to Saint Gillespie being this super point guard, it appears that he has trouble against a CMA defense.  Tonight was not the first time that he has had a "bad" game against us.  Last year at Nova he ALSO shot 2 for 12 and was 0 for 7 from beyond the arc.  We lost to the at Nova last year because Bey went off for 23 and we shot like crap (LJ scoring a big 4 points, no Heron).

I was on a hastily called video conference from 7 PM - 11:30 to go over a contract so I missed the game.  Thankfully at 6:30 I decided to set the DVR just in case.  Good friend texted me at 11:00 about the huge win (didn't spoil it for me as I was checking my phone to see the results).  Can't wait to watch it tomorrow night.  Too exhausted to do it tonight.

If you were like Ralph Kramden and didn't have a phone your job couldn't have reached you and you could have watched the game live. /media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png/media/kunena/emoticons/smile.png Speaking of RK where's Kranmars?

Wow, didn't expect to wake up to this news! Sounds incredible. The highlights I saw made it look like men overwhelming boys. Onward and upward!

I think the Marquette game really helped our guys. When you give up a 15-point lead in, literally, minutes and still somehow withstand that, with more than 15 minutes to play (that could have gotten really ugly) and still win, that instills the type of confidence to close games out.

I hate to say this, but this is the type of game that will only make Villanova a tougher team. Wright is a great coach and they took a big punch in the face tonight. I hate Nova but I’m a Big East fan at heart and as much as I hate all these teams I do like to see them beat the other conferences. Besides Syracuse and UConn. Eff them.

Actually, I was thinking back to the first Marquette game.  As tough a loss as that was, we played very well in the second half of that game, and haven't really regressed at any point since (other then early second half on Sunday).  Maybe we found something in that game.

I also think that partial credit for this run should go to Tyrese Martin of UCONN.  He missed two free throws in the final minute of that game, that would have put us behind by a point.  If we had lost that game (blowing another late lead), and had fallen below .500, who knows what the team's mindset would have been going forward.  It's amazing how a little thing like that can turn a whole season around.

Imagine Wusu playing that well and still undoubtably being the second most impressive freshmen out there.  Seriously our backcourts stock is so high right now that Robinhood  might come and shut us down!

Wow what a great win!

Damn, wouldnt it have been nice for all of us to be at Carnesecca last night with it loud and rockin for this amazing win. I know I would have totally been going nuts.

This is what happens when a team really buys in defensively. They didnt doulbe which led to good and smooth defensive rotations and they were able to close out way better on shooters.

Really amazing win when Julian had a little bit of an off night. Proves our secondary and role players can definitely step up against top compeition when needed.

Keep this momentum going!

Remember one particular poster reminding us over and over again that we in fact were not a deep team and that our "depth" was just hollow pieces and that no one outside of Champ would be able to make an impact on a roster such as novas. Would love to ask coach Wright about the depth factor in this game. Maybe "Goodie" could ask him and get back to that certain poster who has never been wrong before. . Ever.

1) Can someone please post the highlight of the Wusu block in the secondhalf. That was an outstanding defensive play from a gurad. Greatly appreciated.

2) Cole is in better shape from a conditioning standpoint and is now able to play defense at a higher level ( still needs a little more lateral quickness) and contribute on offense. This is the difference sometime between JUCO and big time D1.

Wonderful win! Since Nova does not have a real big, I thought we had a chance to keep the score close. I had no idea we could win and win fairly easily. It is fun watching Posh get better every game. He is going to be special. Hard to believe he is just a freshman. After Nova cut the lead to single digits, Jullian hit a huge 3 pointer. When GW dunked the ball, I did not even realize he was in the game. I don't believe he reentered after he was taken out.

Sure hope the win inspires confidence and that we keep the momentum going.

I'm sad, but:
Four Big East games in a row I haven't watched the game live... four Big East games in a row with a win.

I'm so superstitious I'd thought I jinx it, so I wouldn't allow myself to turn on the TV.  I only allowed myself to check the box score every fifteen minutes or so.

Great win!
I watched the game as soon it was over last night.  You all have covered all the superlatives, so I won't add any.

My system is working, I might just have to throw my TV out the window.
