Nice win by Loyola

Marquis Towns on Loyola is brother of Karl Anthony T

Loyola over Miami on 3-point buzzer-beater* in OT! (*With three seconds to go.) Another Super 5 team goes down.

Not in OT and winning shot was with .3 seconds to go but other than that solid post! ;) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Nice camera shot of Donte Ingram, who hit the game-winning shot, hugging Sister Jean, Loyola's 98-year-old chaplain who's a wheelchair user. As the post-game interview showed, she's something, recalling without hesitation the 1963 team. Will be pulling extra for this year's Ramblers -- and for her -- to savor a win over Tennessee on Saturday.

Wise ass! Lost track of the game due to channel hopping; thought it was in OT. As for the three seconds left, I did in fact asterisk my "buzzer-beater" description. So I only screwed up once. :)

Yup, my wife was a Prof at Loyola. Recently retired. I got ‘em going to Sweet 16.

P.S. CNN website has following headline link: "Tourney's first buzzer-beater." (Then again, what do you expect from a fake news outlet.;))

Seton Hall has given up most of a 10 point lead to NC state - looking very shaky in first round again.

Remember listening to that 1963 title game on the radio. Wasn't carried by TV in NYC area. (Ramblers won it 60-58 in OT, bama.) Earlier that season they destroyed Joe Lapchick's worst-ever (and only losing) SJU team on my first trip to Alumni Hall (which I was actually impressed with). Can still remember the five starters: AA Jerry Harkness (drafted by Knicks), Les Hunter, Vic Rouse, Ronnie Miller (out of the Bronx) and John Egan. (Then again, I couldn't remember that today's game didn't go to OT. :() Always had a soft spot for them.

It's very unusual for me to root for Seton Hall, but was certainly behind them 100% today. No-brainer to root for BE teams in ACC match-ups ... and against other Super 5 teams as well. Hope it continues.

Yes, was very glad to see them hold on, especially since I had them on both my brackets:) :)

They've really gelled this past month. Didn't think I'd be saying this a few weeks ago, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them reach the Final Four.
Is this true? Buffalo crushes Arizona by 21 points! There is a God!
Down goes Zona!!!!

It was a close first half then with about 15 minutes to go in the game Buffalo started increasing the lead and eventually pulled away.
