NCAA Breakdown & Matchups

Shockers go down, 85-71. Didn't know Dan D'Antoni, Mike's brother, was their coach.
A&M’ size & strength too much for PC. Also PC’s offense has been stagnant a lot this year.
I watched the game. Stagnant is the perfect word to describe how Providence looked on offense. It looked like they had no plan or answers on how to attack A&Ms big men. As much respect as we give Cooley, to me this is not acceptable. A winnable game playing with a senior laden team.

Butler was up 21-2 on Arkansas and let them come all the way back. Up 5 at the half.

Now 15 points with 1.32 to go. Think this one's over. Good win for BE.

Butler closing out Arkansas. Coaches change, but they still succeed with non elite, but talented kids, sharing the ball & defending. They are truly a program! Envious :)

Butler vs. Purdue for bragging rights in Indiana next - should be a fun game to watch.

Purdue's 7-footer Haas out with broken elbow. Good break (no pun intended) for Butler; tough break for Purdue.

Of course he's injured -- I predicted Purdue to win it all.

I have two brackets in a local pool. In one I have Nova beating the Zags in the final, in the other Duke beating UVA. I didn't do it consciously, but in looking at the brackets this morning, I realized that if I am right on either overall winner, I will be able to say Johnnies beat the national champ. Must be something subliminal there!

Not a big fan of soap operas or tele novelas huh? ;) :)

Only down by six at halftime. Let's hope for a strong second half.

Even when they are missing their shots I really enjoy watching Creighton play

Agree - I am very happy we got Butler & Creighton to join the BE. Solid programs with solid coaches.

Am I supposed to be impressed with JP Macura trash talking against a 16 seed?

Very disappointing showing from Creighton. They have under 50 points with 3 minutes left, and they usually score in the 90's every game. Big East 4th leading scorer Marcus Foster with only 2 points. Give credit to Kansas State defense, but Creighton has looked their worst all season.

Butler has had a excellent program for over 10 Years going back to when Brad Stephens was the Coach . They had back to back NCAA Championship game appearances , before they joined the BE . They have a formula for success that we are trying to find here . Butler doesn’t get elite 5 Star players but, they make sure they get Players who can shoot , rebound , defend and play hard . They have had 3 Coaches since Stephens and all won 20 or more . Indiana is a B.B. hot bed and they get enough kids who want to go there . Hard to knock their success .

Xavier blows out Texas Southern by about 20. So BE is now 4-2. (Now let's all root for 'Cuse and Virginia to go down.)

P.S. Actually dribbled out the clock.
