NCAA Breakdown & Matchups

I just added Ryan Odom of UMBC to my list of young coaches with experience if Mullin falters next year. There are quite a few NCAA coaches out there earning half of Slice's salary (Don't get me started).

Unfortunately, this loss gives Kentucky an easy road to the Final Four.
That's rational. The day after we beat Villanova you cpuld have added Mullin to the list with 2 wins against top 4 teams.
No. Because they are relatively young and have been coaching their entire careers and not just one game. They both are relatively flying under the radar of national coaches. That’s the rational way of lining up candidates should the shit hit the fan in the future.;)
Most guys who catch lightning in a bottle in the tourney who get the bump dont do as well as expected. Cornell coach who went to bc is an example

True!
That said, most coaches who never coached a day in their lives don't do as well as "hoped" either. Especially when they are surrounded by other blind mice. They need top notch talent around them and especially on the court. Other than that we appear heading in the right direction........I hope!

Turned off the Villanova-Alabama game for about 15 minutes, and when I turned it back on, Nova was up by more than 20 points. Final: 81-58.

DiVincenzo was on fire in first half and Bridges on fire in second half. Team shot 42% from 3 and 88% from FT line.

...with mirrors and an unstoppable All-World Ponds for those two games.

We had Tariq Owens. :)

I’m watching the NCAAs and feeling very grumpy. Nova (good) and Duke (Arrrgh!!!) beating opponents handily, with Buffalo giving hated KY a decent fight so far...and it’s all about the players.
Coaches have ‘systems’, ‘philosophies’ , ‘player development skills’, ‘fancy campuses’, ‘snake-like sneaker cos padding their wallets’—but it’s all about the ‘players’.
We need to get ‘players’ who want to be at St. John’s and who want to stay longer than for a cup of coffee.
Praying CM gets the message and OJT as this is for our greatest Johnny—he gets it and executes like he did as a player.

In the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half Nova opened a huge can of Whupass on Alabama

Don't know all the details as to why Tariq appears to be leaving and agree it is likely ill advised on his part. However, he played well in our two biggest victories this year (17 points in Duke win and 9 pts and 9 rebounds in Nova win) and I for one will miss rooting for him and have nothing but good memories of his efforts for us.

Coaching.

Agree 100%!
Coach K and Jay Wright coached terrible games in our matches.:p

Loyola-Chicago is enjoyable to watch. Well-coached, in-control, pass-the-rock, team. Up by 4 against TN, 29-25 at the Half.
Loyola up 9 with 10 minutes left
Sister Mary having a pale ale clutching rosaries, great tv shot! :)

Have Loyola beating the Vols in both my brackets - let's go Ramblers! Delgado having a huge first half for the Hall (12 pts., 11rebs.) who lead Kansas 24-20.
Just told my wife on second thought we don't have to go out for a St. Patrick's day cocktail, which suits her. I'm fine staying home and watching these two games. My former work colleagues from our Dublin office gave me a bottle of Midleton's Irish Whiskey as a retirement gift; may break into it tonight...
