They are stupidly invested in Cuddyer /Granderson and will not eat any $ to eat those contracts or not play either. RF and LF will be those two for next 2 years

I know. This is going to drive me nuts. I'm sure they want to slide in Nimmo/Conforto when those two age out for a cheap transition.

Both may turn out to be great, but we're wasting years on these arms with this anemic lineup. Pity.

Next year going to be rough with Granderson and Cuddyer a year older. Cuddyer would be ideal 4th outfielder at this point.

We only have Cuddyer next year but are stuck with Grandy for two more years I believe. Byrd was better.

For 3 mil less Mets are paying Grandy, we could have Nelson Cruz which we whiffed twice on.

He was unhittable today, still throwing 97 in the 8th inning. We looked pretty bad against Garcia, a pitcher who hasn't pitched in eleven months and only reached 90 on the speed gun.

I think they are moving Conforto correctly. He graduated college and had a good not great short season in Brooklyn. They moved him up to high A and he is still doing good not great. He will get to Binghamton mid season. Assuming he continues to play well, he will be in Las Vegas next year and will get called up to the mets when he is ready. No need to rush him.

Oh, my optimism is bridled I'm a Mets fan after all. This is the first time I've felt good about a season in almost a decade. The difference between now and the past is that I trust Alderson completely. Conforto is a close of a lock as you'll see for a position player. The ceiling isn't as high as Nimmo, but he'll hit. I'm less certain about Nimmo, but hopeful. He has star potential...I'd just like see the power #s pick up.
