Braves are busy, and need to be. Bartolo was invaluable this past season, mostly due to circumstances that would be pretty unlikely next year. Agree that we pay Cespedes what he needs.

Guessing Conforto will play center, spelled by Lagares for defense. $27.5 million per is a high price tag, and glad given his age that they didn't have to go to 6 years.

I don't think he is a superstar, but this lineup looks very weak without him in the middle of it.

He makes the line up. Agree about center. Bruce is gone, hopefully for some studs in the pen or a catcher. In Sandy we trust...
 
Getting a catcher who can play defense and hit is almost impossible. We should look for a good defensive catcher who at least has some pop. In order to help our pitchers, we need a good defensive catcher and someone who can play centerfield. Conforto should play in right field and we need to hope we can get him back to hitting. Dexter Fowler is the guy I want. Otherwise a left handed hitter to platoon with Lagares.

My wish list is
1. Trade Bruce
2. Sign Fowler
3. Sign Melancon

We need an upgrade over Rivera. He helped Syndegaard, Lugo and Gsellman get us in the playoffs. I wouldn't even call Travis a catcher.

Like Fowler, but there's already a log jam in the outfield, so unlikely
Didn't realize Melancon was a FA, would be nice to have

Agree with 1 and 3 but who are giving up on in the outfield? Sit Conforto in AAA until Granderson's contract is up?

Not that I think the Mets are going to spring for Fowler but I would have this lineup -

1. Reyes - 3B
2. Fowler - CF
3. Cespedes - LF
4. Duda - 1B
5. Walker - 2B
6. Cabrera - SS
7 Conforto - RF
8. Defensive Catcher

The bench would include
Granderson if we can't trade him

TJ Rivera

Backup Catcher

I want no part of McCutchen unless we can get him for a bag of balls.

His numbers last year were scary in a bad way.
