Mets

I will probably just suck it up and buy tomorrow afternoon like Chris just said. Oh man that thursday morning is gonna be a tough meeting. No Kona beer for me tomorrow

Funny you bring up Kona. I recently had it, and it was delicious, probably the best beer our there. I've only had Big Wave, people in Hawaii seemed to be going to town on Fire Rock but I stuck to Big Wave, it's great. Do they serve it at Citi?

There is still a good inventory of tickets left so prices could drop.

. Kona you can buy on 1st level as soon as you get up the stairs start walking toward the 3rd base side. As soon as you get in it's on the right hand side past the place where they sell clothes ( before home plate ). Also if you keep walking out past 3rd toward left you can buy it on the left hand side before you make that right hand turn to head into left field. It's right before the stand that sells sausage and pepper heroes.

I guess it's obvious I prefer sitting on the 3rd base left field side of the stadium :)

It's all on Cespedes tomorrow night. When he's right this team wins plain and simple

I really believe it's our first three righties, Reyes, Cabrera and Cespedes. Our best chance will be with these guys getting us started.

Started and finished.

I will be at the game tonight. NY crowds are the best in a big spot. No idea how the game turns out. A lot of respect for the Giants, they have proven they know how to win. The atmosphere is what I miss about the decline of SJU hoops. When given a reason NY fans are off the charts. Tonight you will here the passion. Hopefully, we are close to getting back to some big hoops games shortly.

Funny you guys should bring up Kona. I have a six of their Wailua Wheat in the fridge.

Coaching your own kids is a losing situation. For instance, while playing in a Philadelphia travel team basketball tournament two of my kids won most valuable player trophies, deservingly so. Once their names were announced some parents seemed shocked and disappointed their kid wasn't named. It's a no win situation. Even the wife of my assistant coach thought it would have been best if my sons weren't the receipients of the MVP trophy. Like I said, it's a no win situation.

Basketball is the worst sport for camraderie amongst parents. I akways say the problem is 12 kids, only 5 can play at a time, and only one ball. 7 kids on the bench have muserable parents and 4 of the other 5 think their kid should be shooting more. The other oarent is coaching the team.

Fortunately in the Smithtown Youth League everyone had to play a certain number of minutes so as a coach I had to work in a lineup for the four quarters. In other words you had to put some talented kids together with the less talented.

I did, no message.

Inventory on Stub Hub is down and prices are up. This is a hot ticket. Hope we win.

Not a bad season when we look back, but Familia cannot be counted on. Still think Terry will never win a WS. Tough to dump on the whole team in a 1 game playoff but they all sucked tonight with the exception of Thor.

Interesting to see what happens this offseason. I hope Wright surrenders his remaining years and walks away from the game. Could use that money elsewhere. Would love to see Cespedes back but not on a opt out 5 year megadeal. Bruce for 13 mill? It's not my money so why not! Need to reload a bit though.

I can analyze our needs all off season. Syndegaard pitched a great game and happy we got to the playoffs.

it was great to have gotten to wild card with all the injuries but once again as a met fan I have my heart ripped out stomped on and run over by mr met in a dump truck with a pile of Familia blown saves dumped on top

Even at full strength this was an incredibly flawed team on offense. It was as if you cloned Dave Kingman and put him all over your lineup.

Great summary...will be interesting to see what happens with Bruce. I'd like him to stay. I was done with Familia in June. The save streak was way over blown, he was far, far from stellar across that streak, lot of lucky breaks in there and several "near" blown saves. I love our starting pitching, so many high value options, keep or trade, it's a great situation to be in. Would love to see upgrades at first base, catcher, and center field, and to go after a top 5 closer.

This season was a lot more fun that it should have been!

Pretty sure Bruce gets signed. May need to trade an outfielder. A catcher would be huge.

Because you said it:

@NoahSyndergaard "Baseball has a way of ripping your heart out, stabbing it, and then putting it back in your chest, then healing itself just in time for spring training."

Was there last night. This kid is no longer a kid. He's a man who was every bit up to the challenge of facing Bumgarden in a classic duel. He ran out of pitches first, pitched 5 no hit innings, struck out 10 in 7, and is quickly moving into the Seaver Koosman Gooden realm of all time Met greats.

Met fans worst fears realized. We weren't going to score until we got Bum out of the game, and that wouldn't have been till the 10th at the earliest.

Positives: This team absolutely played their asses off in September. Even if we had won, we'd go into the playoffs with Colon as our #2 and a couple of rookies who got us into the playoffs with solid pitching. Not pretty vs Cubs, Nationals, etc.

Bruce is signed for next year. On the radio they just said Familia has arb years left so he isn't going anywhere unless they trade him

I'm rooting for the cubs now
