Mets

With all the injuries if you would have told me at the beginning of the year that we would be where we are today I'd have thought you were nuts. I might give him crap a lot but Collins gets credit for this and great job by our guys for being resilient

I have to agree. Is he my type of manager... No. But the Mets overcame and overachieved this season. Hoping for Cards I want redemption from 10 years ago!

Coaching your own kids is a losing situation. For instance, while playing in a Philadelphia travel team basketball tournament two of my kids won most valuable player trophies, deservingly so. Once their names were announced some parents seemed shocked and disappointed their kid wasn't named. It's a no win situation. Even the wife of my assistant coach thought it would have been best if my sons weren't the receipients of the MVP trophy. Like I said, it's a no win situation.

Basketball is the worst sport for camraderie amongst parents. I akways say the problem is 12 kids, only 5 can play at a time, and only one ball. 7 kids on the bench have muserable parents and 4 of the other 5 think their kid should be shooting more. The other oarent is coaching the team.

Fortunately in the Smithtown Youth League everyone had to play a certain number of minutes so as a coach I had to work in a lineup for the four quarters. In other words you had to put some talented kids together with the less talented.

I'm going Wednesday. Anyone else?

I'll be there. I do not have a good feeling about this one, however.

At this point in the season, if you win you deserve to go forward, if not, you don't. If Noah wins, he will have moved up the mountain as an elite pitcher who performed best when it counts. By year 2 and 3, both Seaver and Koosman pitched like vets in the 69 playoff and Series run. We have the right guy going against another great pitcher. I'm excited for the matchup, and this would be their most amazing season should they happen to go all the way.

Took my daughter to her first-ever baseball game on Saturday for the Giants' Star Wars day. Between the giveaways, the certificate from the Giants for attending her first game, and all my friends buying her stuff, I unfortunately think she's been swayed into becoming a Giants fan.

I think you guys have to jump on them quickly. They just seem to know how to chip away at a top pitcher in high-pressure games.

Was going to go but now have 7am meeting on upper west side thursday which means I'm waking up at 4:45am so might have to do this one from my couch. Have tickets to the 2nd home game next series if we advance. I don't have a good feeling about this game

My body/mind still hasn't recovered fully since last year's run. I made it to every home playoff game except for one, it was exhausting and I am still tired from last October. I don't think I can do that again this time around, if we were so lucky to have the opportunity, but then again the fan experience and atmosphere at the games were just awesome, hard to pass up.

Btw is it just me or are prices a little expensive for tomorrow night? I spent the $ put towards last year's run in for UFC 205 tickets but still cant hold back on trying to go see our beloved Mets. Just slightly overpriced at the moment IMO.

Tomorrow afternoon will likely be the cheapest and then a spike at around 6. I recently downloaded an app, called Gametime, which lets you buy tickets last minute or even after the event has started at allegedly steep discounts. Worked for an NYCFC game I went to, haven't used it since, but it is definitely worth a shot.

I will probably just suck it up and buy tomorrow afternoon like Chris just said. Oh man that thursday morning is gonna be a tough meeting. No Kona beer for me tomorrow

I don't relish either taking the LIRR or driving. Maybe I'd parachute in like the guy at the 86 series. I wouldn't have to worry about getting home in that case.
