Mets 2024 Season

And that's without Garrett/Nunez/Reid-Foley

Bullpens are crazy. Forget year to year…it’s month to month with them. You just never know😂

I feel good going forward if we can avoid injuries. I would feel much better if we had a lights out closer, but this could be as strong of a full bullpen as we’ve had in a very long time.

Yeah I think if you gave truth serum to Stearns, he'd say the worst contract we have is Diaz/he'd try to trade him if there wasn't fan variables & other things. Have to always maintain the flexibility and keep to short-term commitments if they aren't in their arbitration years.

Nunez has been a find. Hopefully, he’s back soon.

Reed Garrett was struggling badly when he got or was pitching hurt. Maybe with less usage he pitches more like the guy from earlier than the guy who was running on fumes.

Reid-Foley is sporting a 7.11ERA. So, not too optimistic on him.

SRF's ERA is actually 1.66. He was pretty dominant this year, which I find surprising because I never thought much of him aside from his weird delivery (which he got rid of)

My bad.

The 7.11 ERA is MINOR League ERA.

You guys are quick to jump ship after every loss😂 I kind of get it…this team isn’t going to run away. Pitching seems so damn solid though now.
I’m not jumping ship I still watch every game and will root like hell for them, just don’t think the meat of our lineup has quite enough this year. we’re very close

But this whole Alonso, Nimmo, JD, Alvy, Vientos group in the middle of the order, I’m skeptical they have enough to get us over the hump. And I like some of these guys, just don’t know if we’re getting them in their best form right now

It’s way better than it was in May, though. JD has slowed down some.

Wild to me some of these guys they’ve brought in like Vogelbach, Stewart and now Winker they all REFUSE TO SWING THE BAT. Uncanny how selective they are, do they understand the objective is to actually swing and hit the god damn baseball?

Better than May doesn’t mean playoff team. That’s all I’m saying, again I hope they prove me wrong

and JD has past “slowing down” at this point. His at bats are putrid. 70% of his swings are nowhere near the ball.

I know baseball is all about ebbs and flows, but going close to 30 innings without scoring a run in the midst of a wildcard race in August, not great. Especially when seeing what the padres and diamondbacks have been looking like. We may be in a situation where it’s one spot for 4 teams (Mets, Braves, Giants, Cards). My confidence level isn’t high. But I’ll keep rooting in hopes some of our hitters can get it going. Nimmo just got robbed of what could’ve been a breakthrough hit for him. Hell of a defensive play he was victim to
