We need a fourth catcher???? This singing makes no sense unless there's another big trade coming.
Big trade coming? Not likely.
A trade coming? More likely.
I'd expect something like: take McCann and 75% of his salary and thank you for the bag of balls.
Mets need to carry 7 potential starters.
We saw what happened last year. Our pitching depth with MeGill, Peterson, Williams, etc. helped carry us through injuries.
It was a BIG part of why we won 101 games.
When I heard report late yesterday that something was up with his physical l knew he would pivot an sign with the Mets.
I have to hand it to you, Cohen has an advantage and he uses it. Funny, not hearing anything from my friends who use to complain how the Yankees tried to “buy” the World Series and tried for an all-star at every position now that the shoe is on the other foot. I am not mad at you but say again congratulations.
I was jealous of Yankee fans because your owner spent what it took to win. He acted like big city owner.
Once the Wilpons became majority owners after Bud Selig made that happen by forcing Nelson Doubleday to sell his half (and he was the owner who signed Piazza, the Wilpons would have let him walk), it made the Mets a small market team. Not to mention, there was no punishment for the Wilpons from the Madoff Ponzi scheme.
Anyway, happy to see a Mets owner using his F.U. money wisely.

This is pretty unbelievable. The craziest thought, and not that I’m wild about this, but you could probably put a package together, leave Alvarez out of it, and get Ohtani. I’m not wild about it because of gaining Ohtani, he’s the guy, but I’d hate to see a bunch of homegrown guys gone. Still, this is some wild ish.
