Great pickup by the Mets. Brooks is the real deal and Tampa needed to shed the 4.5M.

The guy they gave up pitched 66 innings (A+ Ball) and had 92Ks. Typical Rays pickup sidearming reliever. He'll be part of the Rays bullpen in 3 years.
 
I can’t argue with what they’ve done so far. Verlander replaces Jake, Quintana replaces Walker, and pick up Raley. Here’s the thing, we still need SP to replace Bassitt and BP needs work. We really are treading water with the “same” team. Nimmo leaves and our offense is weaker than last year. That would be a lot of pressure on Alvarez and Baty to pick up production. We really need Nimmo back. Just sayin.

We need the Japanese pitcher to have any chance. He is an unknown but has real upside. Nimmo is just as important. The problem is the luxury tax. We are close to the top tier and the tax on these guys will be as high as their salary. We really need to develop prospects.

We may have 3 rookies on the opening day roster unless Vientos is no longer eligible for rook status.

Now's a good time for someone to search the archives to find where we discussed Kate's nude leaks, and I think it was Austour who pretty accurately stated that Verlander might have had a nicer ass than her flat one. 😁

And yes, having a good memory is a curse sometimes.

Sometimes having no memory is better, though I searched up the fappening image of the two of them and stand by what I may have said.
 
Nimmo stays home 8/$162. He got paid but he is very important to our team. He is also one of our own. Really was going to be hard to replace.

Steve Cohen make everything possible.

 
Cohen is Now dancing in the end zone. David Robertson for the bullpen 1/$10M. They claim Senga is still in play.

 
That's just a crazy contract. I can imagine what Pete will be asking for.

BUT for a team that often lets its homegrown position players go, I'm glad to see he's back with the team.

Everybody get ready for $60 chicken fingers next year.

Really not that bad AAV $20M. It’s the length that lightens the tax hit to Cohen spreading out the longer term.
