Mets 2024 Season

VogelBAD turns another double into an out. Get rid of the guy; I don't want him in a Mets uniform next year--he is a disgrace. As Tim said in post game he has to know his limitations and stop at first; he has no baseball smarts

Still couldn't believe he attempted to go to 2nd down a run in the ninth; if he had any speed at all not a bad play, he most likely would have been safe.
I've read on other sites that you cannot figure the next guy gets a hit again; that's true but a runner on second with no outs - maybe the next batter advances him to third then a sac fly ties it.

He's only signed through this season (1.5mil this season) . 13 hrs If he's only going to dh then he's gotta give you 30 plus hrs.
 
Jett Williams was called up to AA Binghamton and he went 2-4 with a double and 3 runs scored.

Once again, Jett is just 19 years old and he absolutely crushed A+ ball. In 36 games he hit .299 with a .451 OBP and 12 steals, 7 homers, 2 triples and 9 doubles. It's unreal what this kid is doing. The Mets never advance players this quickly. Luis Guilorme went 0-4 in the game.

Playoffs start next week. Should be really good experience for some of our highest ranked players.
 
Good thing we kept Mauricio at AAA most of the season. Wouldn’t want anyone who could hit or anything.

Of course, our crack player development people will talk about how this was a result of keeping him down.s/m/h
 
Binghamton wins game 1 of playoffs. Jett Williams with a 3-run homer and a walk. Acuna 0-3. Gilbert 0-4 with a walk, steal, and a run. Parada on the bench for journeyman catcher, Senger. These are 4 of the Mets top 5 prospects. With #10 Tidwell likely pitching game 2.

The kid Scott who started the game should jump the rankings. He has had a good season.

He was just named the Mets Minor League Pitcher of the year.

Jett Williams was named the Minor League player of the year after becoming the first Mets position player drafted out of high school to reach Double-A in the following calendar year since Gregg Jefferies in 1986.

I would be disappointed if Binghamton didn’t win their league with all that talent.

Jett was also the first teenager to lead the Mets farm system in walks since David Wright.

He is a bit of a throwback. OBP is a big thing (especially with the walks) for him. Like that.

Even crazier than that…Jett is the first minor leaguer in all of baseball to have over 100 walks in ten years!

I guess being 5’6 ish has some benefits.
