Mets 2024 Season

I just dont understand how 1 year we go fram amazing plate disciple to this. Almost the entire team. That was the key to success last year IMO
I could not agree more, you keep doing what works until the opposition makes you
change. Works in any competition.
The best advice I ever got when starting my own business regarding negotiations; get a position, KNOW the What, How and the Why of that position frontwards and backwards, put it on the table, then STFU until the people across from you make you talk by countering.
And DO NOT be afraid of silence.

Haaaa in my biz when I started out you are basically selling yourself to potential clients but at some point when waiting for a potential rebuttal " Silence is Golden " it can be uncomfortable but you need to let them speak and wait

I do think Pete made a huge mistake rushing back from the wrist than doing the HR hitting contest. As far as Quintana why trade him when he is signed for a reasonable amount for next year. I think the Mets won't do much at the deadline and hope for everyone to wake up in August and September

I would imagine selling one’s self would be very challenging in some ways, and while silence CAN certainly be very uncomfortable, it can also be a very strong ally, it sometimes becomes a “who blinks first” contest.

Vogelbach may have taken the most time to circle the bases on his Homer--I was worried the umps were going to give him a delay of game penalty.

Where has this Polar Bear been? A little late to leave hibernation.

You Gotta Believe!!!
Love the optimism! But, we are exactly 100 games in and 6 games under .500. That’s a big sample.

The Yankees fan came in all optimistic sweeping the Royals. Fools gold. Same here. We should have buried the Stinkees. That was a scrub lineup without Judge. Compare that lineup to the Braves or Dodgers. Yet, somehow they were an extra base hit in the 7th and 8th (bases loaded) from crawling back in. Our bullpen outside of Robertson is not good. We had to burn him in a 9-3 (!) win. Just hard to get excited.
