Something should break for our program this week. Meanwhile, you're correct! This thread takes some of the edge off.
 
Alvarez got his first Ding-Dong but the Muttsies wanted to go home toward the end of the game. Big homestand. Can the starters give us anything? It's scary right now. Probably the worst rotation in the league until we get back Maxie and Mr. Upton.
 
Desultory loss last night. Nine men sleep walking. Yes starting pitching is a major problem until we see Scherzer and Verlander in the rotation it will remain so. However, you can’t win if you don’t score. We also were sleeping in the field. WTF was Guillorme doing on that ground ball? All bad last night. Need to wake up.

Maybe the players who went to the Rangers game Monday caught their malaise and brought it back to the Mets. Poor effort.

Funny, I think it was Ron Darling who went into a spiel about how “tough” it is getting re acclimated after after a trip from the West Coast. Of course, Monday night they showed Guillorme, Alonso and Nido drinking beer at the Rangers game. Hey no problem with them living their lives. Good for them. However, that effort last night was listless and let’s not make excuses.
 
Threw a stinker out there yesterday. Get the rest of the series in the W column it'll be forgotten.

Gore is a stud though today so better pop some greenies and get it going

I got NFL Draft, hockey and basketball playoffs, Mets game. Also following the weirdness on this Board filtering through some of the nonsensical posts for recruits.

Lo and behold Mets have a 7-3 lead. I’m feeling good and focus on the many other things going on. I swear to God I look up and it’s 8-7 Nats!? Like WTF! 😡 Can we not just put them away with a 4 run lead? Of course, I had to watch and luckily we rallied and won the damn game. We gotta be better than this. Braves hitting town is not ideal. Then again crappy weather might destroy this weekend schedule. Not looking good.
 
My boy lost his 4 team parlay because he had Mutts -1.5.

Man this team is struggling.

Gotta do something against the Bravos but the pitching match-ups are horrendous. Getting swept is a real possablity

I said it earlier in the thread but if we were gonna be an average team (with a $1 billion payroll mind you) I’d rather do it with the Batys, Mauricios and Vientos’ of the world. Not the vanilla milkshake, “great teammate”3rd baseman, fantasy football brawler and some Italian guy they found on Arthur Ave.

My advice…dress warmly. It’s cool and breezy out there. I can only imagine the nice cooling effect as the brisk breeze crosses the pristine waters of Flushing Bay.

Gotta win tonight. Happy for the split yesterday but this team has got to come together. Maxy and JV back this week. Hopefully gets the engine revved
