Marquette (MSG), Sat., Jan. 20, 12 Noon, FOX

Dingle is one of the best shooters on the team, can handle the ball a bit if needed, can get to the line and the rim, he's incredibly important even if his numbers aren't gaudy. Jenkins has the weight of the world on his shoulders unfortunately
Agreed Dave, not looking good even with Pitino back. Beating Marquette takes a great effort with a full roster and coaching staff. Luis , Alleyne and Wilcher are going to have to really step up for us to win. Jenkins can’t do it all by himself and he can’t feel like he has to either. That’s not a winning formula. Defensively we are going to have to be on our game. Effort has to be 110% for 40 minutes.

Interesting, I thought some of the team may have played sick vs. SHU, but now doubt that's the case since Pitino is calling them out.

Honestly surprised only one player got it (or at least has bad enough symptoms not to play). Almost all teams deal with players being out, glad it's only one and hopefully he'll be back the following game (along with the coaches). No reason we can't beat Marquette.

It is ALWAYS something

Hopefully everyone gets better fast. Anyone know what Mitch Richmond is doing tomorrow? We have some space
and the post of the month goes to Notanalum! WELL SAID. So its just Rick and Mas? So imagine if Rich and Mas both get tossed out of the game who then is in charge? LOL

More from Zach this morning:

Just wrapped up access. A few notes:

-- Jordan Dingle will be out tomorrow. He's still sick with COVID.

-- Assistants Taliek Brown, Van Macon and Ricky Johns are also sick and won't be at the game.

-- Rick Pitino is feeling better and will be on the sideline tomorrow.

-- Joel Soriano says he will be better tomorrow and is motivated by his recent poor performances.

-- Pitino believes Seton Hall was a one-off. Team clearly wasn't ready to play, and didn't play with nearly enough effort.

if he plays more than 5 or so minutes we lose

Honestly think he will get very modest minutes during BE season unless we run into some guard injuries. Hopefully he takes full advantage of coaching and practice time to prepare for next season.

I think you're both right, but I think Dingle being out may force him to play more. We don't really have another ball handler on the roster
