Kansas St., Sat., Dec. 7, 11:30am, FOX

really enjoyed myself today at the game. It was a "loud crowd" that matched some of the old time crowds at Alumni Hall. Zuby should be player of the week in the Big East selections on Monday.
Prey is interesting in that he is still learning subtilties of how the game is called here. One of his fouls was mystifying to me as it was to him and as s time out was over Rick walked with him to the ref who called it, and he explained to Prey what he did against the rules to have the foul called (and It looked like the ref enjoyed this as non-confrontational); a learning/teaching moment. I look forward to his continued development

Frankly, I wasn't worried about McDaniels or Hawkins. Hawkins didn't show me jack, and Zuby was wearing his ass out up and down the floor. We put the clamps on Hausen and it was lights out for K-State.
Can’t believe they gave $2M for Hawkins - averaging 8 points…not a good shooter and shows no agility on drives to the basket. Should have had at least 3-4 fouls (mostly offensive). At one point he smiled running down court knowing he got away with a foul

What an atmosphere today…

Not sure if it was my expecting a 20pt win… but even when we were down 10- wasn’t worried. Talking to the guys around me- u tell me Hausen has 21 at half- they shooting 53 from 3, and Kadary misses every layup- and we are only down 4… yes please.

2nd half- just waiting for that run- and when RJ / Scott hit those back2back 3s… man- nothing like CA when the crowd gets into it… real fun to experience.

What an effort on D in the 2nd. But man… biggest takeaway is my o8ppg on Brady… kid looks like a golfer with the yips… the 2nd half 3s seemed nervously rushed. Sad to admit- but it might benefit us more come conf play that Jaiden starts getting his minutes…he’s gonna be a good one.

Hopefully we have enough NIL lined up to keep Zuby (sucks to say- but state of play right now)… can’t remember any player having their name chanted during the game… anyone?

Great 2nd half to get that huge win, for many reasons.

Louie was smiling down from heaven watching Zuby and everyone else kick K St's ass today on his court.

Hope this is the start of wiping the floor against everyone.

remember the Artest, Postell, Barkley, Thornton, and our 6'7 center (name is escaping me). they'd beat mid majors by 25+.
That's what I want to see vs. Bryant. Gotta put mid majors away very early.

Great win today.

Kudos to Pitino for sticking with Wilcher, who had a rough first half. Sim re-paid coach for the second half start with 3 buckets during the 18-5 blitz before the under 16 media timeout. Kansas State could only get within 5 points the rest of the way. His defense on Hausen ended any chance for a Wildcat comeback.
Wilcher's defense on Hausen in the second half was game changing.

So great to be back at my HOME for 39 years! Thank you to Jill Christensen ATC for putting me right behind the bench today. Reunited with Jill, my team physicians James Wyss MD and Osric King MD from HSS, and Matt Bernstein Equipment manager and General Manager Matty A. Thanks for making me feel part of the program again.

And thank you to the fans that said hello today in the Arena. A special thank you to John Diffley, Steve Dombrowski and Ed Kull for making today extra special to me🏀❤️ and of course thanks to Coach Pitino for honoring Lou Carnesecca in the way he did! Not ashamed to admit I shed more than a few tears at watching Rich come out with the sweater and the pregame video of Coach Lou as many of you did too I'm sure.
