DLO= true warrior!
Much respect!!
Keep your head up!

I feel really sorry for this kid.
And all the kids who are still here honestly.
If the kids start feeling sorry for themselves they would lose every remaining game. Time for them to buck up, continue fighting and win some games. After all, did we give up when the Germans bombed pearl Harbor? Hell no!

So its their fault?
Where did I even mention or even hint at fault led alone whose it would be? Thought you were better than that Moose. What is your proposed course of action, that they should put their tail between their legs and give up? There are kids their age dying on battle fields but let's all have a good cry over losing a college basketball game.

I said I was sorry for him and for the kids that give a shit on the court when they put on the SJU jersey. Your response made no sense to me. And your follow up equating to kids dying in war is even more senseless. This is a basketball forum. Have a great night.

Exactly. Started the season with Braxton Miller at QB a Heisman trophy candidate who was injured, went to second string JT Miller who became a Heisman candidate, injured, moved on to Big 10 championship game with third string QB Cardale Jones beat Wisconsin 59-0 and won semi-final playoff game against a team I will not mention. Tim Tebow interviewing coach Urban Meyer asked him how the team has been able to overcome adversity and he responded " We don't have time for excuses."

You responded to my post by asking me So its their fault? Fault wasn't even mentioned and wasn't even part of the discussion. Your response to my previous post asking me So it's their fault? is the equivalent of asking someone Have you stop beating your wife? Since I know you won't agree I will just agree to disagree.

Roll Buckeyes Roll

3 NC in 6 years, contenders every year, two days after loss got verbal commits from a 5 star CB and a five star DT. Four straight number one recruiting classes. When your team even sniffs a tourney birth in a field of 68 let me know.

Big East 0 - 2, Jordan likely gone, same old story player off court issues, lousy Conference start, national recognition slipping away (except that we lost first 2 conf games and prob a 3rd tomorrow and natl ranking soon to be a memory) depressingly similar circumstances. Way too much adversity for this program last 10 years.
2,000 points? So what.

Jordan is back
We haven't won nor lost to villanova yet
No matter what the circumstances, it is still good to support one of our best players ever.

I finally realize why your posts are totally nonsensical, "Bamafan" is so deluded he thinks the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, SMFH !!!!!

Guess you didn't see "Animal House" Panther.

Lavin stated he is not playing vs Nova that is not back to me.
And Seriously one of our "Best players ever"?
Support is extremely important from his family, peers, team mates and StJ staff.
Fan support is over rated in this context. We are not part of their lives, we watch them play a game.

It is hard debating with someone who is sadly misinformed. If Jordan doesn't play Tuesday he will be on bench and play against providence, he is rejoining the team as of today.

And yes, seriously, one of our best players ever. When all is said and done he will be 3rd in scoring behind mullin and sealy.

Fan support is overrated? Your telling me if we don't pack the garden tomorrow night or encourage DLo on twitter or in person that that doesn't make him feel good or help? Ok dude. Your username is the name of our student section, I thought you'd be better than that. Except wait is this the poster that predicted a dreadful season before it started?

YES it was you wasn't it. So you disappeared for the great start and now you are back when things go wrong. Unfortunately for you Jordan is back and we still have a good shot to make the tournament, so I hope you kept your hole warm, it is time to go back in it. If we don't make the tournament your agenda filled posts can return all they want, go away for now, some of us actually want the team to succeed

Lavin stated he is not playing vs Nova that is not back to me.

He said that after Saturday's game. Looks like that situation has changed.

Source close to Rysheed Jordan tells me the St. Johns guard expects to play Tuesday vs. Villanova following a talk today w/ Steve Lavin.

Additioinally hard to debate with someone who didn't read what i said. I said in "this insatance" fan support is overrated he needs family friends and team mates. Not a full MSG.
My "dreadful" season prediction was for 18 - 13 with more of the same under & over achieving, off court issues and an NIT spot. Thats my feeling. And yes I know I'm wrong OK? Opinion.
I dont understand why this site is so critical of opinions. That is the point "discussion".
Unless you are an original poster you are misinformed, negative etc. There were years when you could not become a poster and I have been follwing the site for over 8 years when I first was aware of it. It's informative but not very welcoming to opinions.
Before singling out negative posters check all the posts esp those among the Good Old Boys Club.
I don't know you, you don't know me but we root for same team frustrations abound on this site. Each fan feels differently about the last decade. I was there in the Beaver Smith era. Would just like to see relevance within College Basketball. Recent play puts us closer to the afterthought category again.

Your argument kind of collapses though because you came in here and posted that we shouldn't care that DLo is nearing 2,000 points. If you don't want people to be critical of opinions, why are you critical of some fans tracking and supporting Dangelo nearing 2,000 points for his career?? It is a fan forum, who cares if us following this doesn't do anything for DLo personally. We are fans, we want to follow it, because we love watching DLo, and would like to see him hit a milestone like 2,000 after all the adversity he's faced.

And also, I hate how posters continue to bring this up about redmen, like new posters aren't welcome if they are constantly negative. Joe3 and Miguel did it since I have been here among others. A ton of posters are often negative when discussing the state of the program and it is accepted. You know why? Because there is a difference between redundancy and making good points.

No one has a problem with discussing the program, if things aren't going well with the coach or recruiting or on the court we are open to discuss it and we have the last couple of days. But it is a bit shady when you say the season will be bad, disappear when it goes well in the beginning, and then magically reappear when we drop 2 straight.

never said you shouldn't care its a great accomplishment and with one & dones very rare. I said with 0 - 2 start to BE and Jordan issue (at that time as far as i knew) "who cares" prob should have said right now at this moment who cares, he is going to get his 2,000 and we will all celebrate that accomplishmnet and DLo is a great success story no doubt i love his intensity (OK?) however circumstances of higher importance (to me & maybe 1 or 2 other posters) supercede a future scoring milestone right now. Again, my redundant, uninformed opinion.
And I believe my posts although negative to you are merely a reflection of the last 10 years. And are far more realistic (negative) than others. I too wish for top 20 ranking, great run in the NCAA's, healthy roster and just basketball to talk about and will root for them to the bitter end.
So Allow me to highlight some true Redundancies....Thoughts on Lavins Contract?, where can I get StJ gear (my favorite inquiry) for the love of all.....use the frickin web, where to eat before a game, where to meet after the game, student support is poor, student support was good, students were rude to opposition, students need to ride the opposition more, overly sensitive to other programs success & recruiting.

It was a joke. Animal House reference - a tip of the hat to John Belushi

@NYPost_Brazille: D'Angelo Harrison shooting career-high 45 percent from the field. Making 35 percent of 3's. Averaging 6.2 rebounds. #sjubb

@NYPost_Brazille: D'Angelo Harrison also getting to the line 6.9 times a night. Having tremendous year. has come a very long way. #sjubb

@NYPost_Brazille: He probably doesn't get drafted, and will have to work his way into league, but I see a lot of John Starks in D'Angelo Harrison. #sjubb

Agree with Starks comparison save for athleticism and leaping ability. Just don't see Dlo posterizing MJ and Scottie.
