Harrison 2,000 point tracker

Well done DLO!

I predict that Harrison score 53 points in the NCAA finals to pass Mullin by a point with the basket that wins the NCAA championship.

That would be awesome!

To keep perspective in past years, perhaps around the Battle of Vicksburg :)
our players had neither 3 PT shots nor freshman eligibility!!!
With that said Harrison ( no relation to Benjamin or the other President forget his name) has been great and good for him!!!

If harrison never get suspended he would be really close to being #1 all time. Hey he still has an outside shot with a deep run in BIG EAST Tourney and Hopefully the NCAAs

Can someone do the math? Based on regular season games left.

We have 15 regular season games left. Even if we played 3 in the BE tourney and the max 6 in the NCAA's, he'd still have to average 21.25 per game to tie Chris.

So, this won't happen, but there's the math.

I was mostly looking at him passing Sealy not Mullin.

To pass Sealy:

30ppg if you count 15 regular season games plus 1 BE tourney game.

32ppg if you just count the remaining 15 regular season games

As much as I love Harrison, I am pleased to have him finish third candidly.
Mullin and Sealy are our icons for several reasons. Third is great.

If anyone ever does pass Mullin, it will likely be with an asterisk, because college basketball did not have the 3-point shot when Chris was around. He would have scored a lot more points, if we had the 3-point shot back then.

I am confident and hope that Harrison is not paying attention to this list. He is playing so damned well now, the last thing we would need is him putting himself above team. I say he will likely average 20 the rest of the way and fall somewhat short.

Agree. He can get a bunch of "padded" points at the line to end games with SJU up 10+ PTs

By the way, what Harrison did as soon as Providence clawed their way back into the game the other night was what a national POY does (yup I said it). He was silent the entire second half, and right after Greene launched the 3 (assist Obekpa), Harrison took over and hit big shot after big shot. The mere fact that he revved it up before it became a nailbiter was an awesome display of will to win - what a senior star does BEFORE being asked to make a huge shot in the last minute.

The other thing was he didn't demand the ball in the foul shooting contest that covered the last 3 minutes. He could have racked up another 8-10 meaningless points or he could have turned the ball over under pressure since everyone thought the ball was going to him. Instead he played within the game.

59 points to go, for D'Angelo to reach 2,000 career. According to our pregame notes, he's 22 away from 1,000 career points in Big East games.

More important to Harrison is that he is 10 wins away from his first NCAA bid. That's the number that really means something, and by his effort alone, he and his teammates deserve this.
