Georgetown (MSG), Sat., Mar. 9, 12 Noon, FOX

People not trusting the process. Even at 14-12 we were light years ahead of previous seasons in terms of changing the culture.
I said all season long that we were in far better hands no matter how the season played out, but you're gonna tell me that even as recently as 3 weeks ago, you saw this team making this kind of turn around and dancing?

We all have different perspectives, levels of frustration, but equal passion for the program. It is a fan blog and etiquette, lectures on reactions are lame imo.
Not sure any lectures were given, past or present.

Can’t look

Not so Monte, there are some that are over the top hard on him. I don’t mind the criticisms but if the kid does 10 things right and makes two mistakes he is crucified on this site. Today between his steals, passes scoring etc. he won the game. I don’t see many over the top compliments.
By the way, don't see any compliments today from Marillac for Jenkins or any for the last several games where he has been rock solid.

There is no way we are losing to SH for a 3rd time this season. No EFFIN way!!! You heard it here 1st
Oh trust me I hope so. But it is still a bad matchup. Hall has proven everyone wrong all yr. They are going to be a very tall task. If we play like we did today we lose by 10+. That said, it’s tough to beat anyone 3x straight in same season.

It didn’t look good at the time, that is for sure. But been watching SJU basketball for a long time and we have seen similar revivals. The elite 8 team in 1979 was 9-8 in late January. Lou’s last season in 1992 was 10-7 in late January. Lavin’s first year we were 11-8 in late January. So if those teams can make the dance, why not this years team. That was my outlook.

It looked bad at the time, and then got even worse. But let me ask you this: let's say we get beaten badly by SH and get knocked out in the play-in game, do you consider the season a success?

It would be extremely disappointing, but still a success in terms of making the dance. Something that has been far and few between since the start of this century.

I'm a "yes" on that for many reasons. It wasn't perfect but a winning BE record, 20 wins, a play-in game – those are all signs of progress.

Most of all, I've been reminded what it feels like to have a competitive St. John's team. I've always stayed a fan, but now I recall what it feels like to really be invested in the wins and losses. ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY LOVE IT!

I fully expected it and said that I wouldn't be surprised if we finished 5-0 and beating Creighton at MSG.
Unfortunately, early in the season we were not a cohesive unit and suffered the injuries to Luis, Davis and Dingle. We had two bewildering losses to teams like Michigan and Boston College and went down to the wire against Creighton and Uconn.
We had the talent all season but it took a while to coalesce.
This team should have been a 21 win team already and sailing into the NCAA tournament but WE ARE ST. JOHN'S!🥲

Only if we make play in
