Yeah the tv guys talked about Cooley having to deal with apathy about the program. Why would GT alums come out when they have sucked for a long time?
Not trusting the process? We went from 4-1 to losing 8 of the next 10 and going 6-9.People not trusting the process. Even at 14-12 we were light years ahead of previous seasons in terms of changing the culture.
Let's be just a little optimistic Monte. It looked bad at the time, and then got even worse. But let me ask you this: let's say we get beaten badly by SH and get knocked out in the play-in game, do you consider the season a success?
I said he saved the season.Wasn’t speaking about you.
We were all sick to our stomach. But let’s not pretend Pitino and his players were not capable of possibly saving our season. Not trusting the process? We went from 4-1 to losing 8 of the next 10 and going 6-9.
Yeah was sick to my stomach watching our season going down the drain.
It looks like Pitino saved this season after winning our last 5. THANK GOD.
Success breeds silence from certain fans hoping that the negatives would come true and make them look like basketball gurus.Mullins revenge has Marillac tied up naked in a basement ever since his Ted Bundy joke with MR.
I’m not even joking I think that was his last post or one of his last
Silence of the lambs. Right now we need Jodi Foster to save one of our ownSuccess breeds silence from certain fans
Now, now, no need to try and drag my man Rasheem's name through the mud yet again after all these years. The man has been maligned enough on this board already!@monte if you can trust the ball in Rasheem Dunn’s hands for 2 years, you can ‘trust the process’ under Rick Pitino in year 1.
Those of us who saw it already know that’s a tough watch! Can't even imagine the amount of game film Pitino is gonna have the team watch on Hall over the next few days.

My comment was said tongue-in-checkSee emoji
I already got us waxing SH, and I think we can even beat UCONN and do some damage in the dance. Let no man say that I am not being optimistic!!Let's be just a little optimistic Monte.
I would rather hope we can beat Seton Hall on the 3rd try and that we advance to finally beat Uconn........and not have to play in a play-in game.
Yeah, they were always capable of saving our season. They had 6 double digit halftime leads in which we blew.We were sick to our stomach. But let’s not pretend Pitino and his players were not capable of possibly saving our season.
No, we weren't Depaul or even GT at that point, but besides playing some good teams very close, there was nothing to indicate that we'd end the season on this kind of run and finish in 5th place.Yeah, they were always capable of saving our season. They had 6 double digit halftime leads in which we blew.
To me that was the worst part about going 6-9, even if they went say 2-4, that's 8-7.
The road game at Seton Hall was the only game we were non competitive. Every other conference loss was well within reach, if a play here or there goes our way. I would agree it would be blind faith if we were getting smoked on the regular.Other than some blind faith, with a splash of cockeyed optimism thrown in, I don't see how anyone could have reasonably predicted this.
"a play here or there..." can make the difference in the record of most middle to bottom of the pack teams. The top teams make those plays which is why they're at the top.The road game at Seton Hall was the only game we were non competitive.
