Georgetown (MSG), Sat., Mar. 9, 12 Noon, FOX

People not trusting the process. Even at 14-12 we were light years ahead of previous seasons in terms of changing the culture.
Not trusting the process? We went from 4-1 to losing 8 of the next 10 and going 6-9.

Yeah was sick to my stomach watching our season going down the drain.

It looks like Pitino saved this season after winning our last 5. THANK GOD.

It looked bad at the time, and then got even worse. But let me ask you this: let's say we get beaten badly by SH and get knocked out in the play-in game, do you consider the season a success?
Let's be just a little optimistic Monte.
I would rather hope we can beat Seton Hall on the 3rd try and that we advance to finally beat Uconn........and not have to play in a play-in game.😉

We were all sick to our stomach. But let’s not pretend Pitino and his players were not capable of possibly saving our season.

Yeah, they were always capable of saving our season. They had 6 double digit halftime leads in which we blew.
To me that was the worst part about going 6-9, even if they went say 2-4, that's 8-7.

No, we weren't Depaul or even GT at that point, but besides playing some good teams very close, there was nothing to indicate that we'd end the season on this kind of run and finish in 5th place.

Other than some blind faith, with a splash of cockeyed optimism thrown in, I don't see how anyone could have reasonably predicted this.

The road game at Seton Hall was the only game we were non competitive. Every other conference loss was well within reach, if a play here or there goes our way. I would agree it would be blind faith if we were getting smoked on the regular.

"a play here or there..." can make the difference in the record of most middle to bottom of the pack teams. The top teams make those plays which is why they're at the top.

Right now we look like world beaters, hopefully that continues for a while.
