Did any of y'all noticed Cooley's gait while leaving the court?  That's the walk of someone who is ticked.  His ball club might be running wind sprints and gasses right about now, lol.
Has done a good job with Providence but absolutely a sore loser...barely shook Lavin's hand back in the day,..BTW, Lavin was one of th most gracious in defeat...may not be a quality you want to be know for but nonetheless very good sport

I hate losing at anything. But the way you handle losing, IMO, says a lot about what kind of person you are. Walter Payton. Win or lose, act like you’ve been there.

It took 49 years, but we have finally exercised the demons of Marvin Bad New Barnes and Ernie DiGregorio.
On the very same court today, Champ scored 24 points, the same total Mel Davis scored that day we took the loss.
Hopefully Mel and Billy Schaeffer are smiling after todays result.

Major kudos to Earlington today who gave us some much needed hustle, toughness and rebounding when we needed it most after PC's run.

One thought on CMA today; Watson dominated pretty much through the first 25-28 minutes and then Anderson had him completely fronted down low with weak side focused help coming, usually Wusu. Really good move and pretty much took him out of the game.

When SJ spreads the floor v man defenses, Posh getting so good at driving and kicking to Julian on baseline for money jumpers. The chemistry between the two can't be overstated.

That was probably year before I enrolled and started following the team closely. Was it really in the Fieldhouse and before the Civic Center?

Yep, the Providence Civic Center opened in November 1972.

Thanks. Loved Marvin Barnes game and remember Ernie D saying he practiced basketball 9 hours a day.  My FR year was a great game at C. Arena even though we lost 93-90 Ernie D with 41 Schaefer with 30 but worth the price of admission and then some was rebounding battle between Barnes and Ed Searcy.

Agree 100% but Dunn to Moore this afternoon was also a thing of beauty. It was truly a Picasso the few times it occurred.

MJ....you’ve been to Threes Brewing in Huntington Village yet? Great beer there.

Full disclosure, I was out enjoying the warmth and snow with my kids but coming in and seeing we beat Providence is great. I feel like we haven’t beaten these guys since Cooley became the coach.
Yeah I like the place. When it gets warmer if you are going there and the outside is open let me know I'll meet you there.

One other point...we didn't look lost at all when they went zone in 1st half

We’re in 2021 and this is the first time I’m seeing a consistently well-coached team out there since the last century.

The Friars had never allowed more than 91 points in regulation through Cooley’s previous 321 games in charge. It’s also the first time since 2009-10 that Providence has dropped back-to-back home games by double digits.

BTW, if you haven't already done so, check out this weeks edition of RedStorm  Report. Listening to the excitement shown by CMA, you can't help but love this guy.
