Band was at the women's game on campus vs. URI.Poor turn out. Flat crowd. Lots of empty rows in lower sections. No lines at concession stands or rest rooms. BC brought its band. We didn’t. Go figure.

Pitino announced at his opening press conference who he was keeping. The ‘audition’ offered to Posh was a sham and he knew it. Granted, there was a ‘ culture’ issue with last year’s team. Rick should have tried to change it rather than firing almost everybody. If Posh, Storr and Jones were still here, with Rick coaching them, we’d have a tournament team.Except Posh didn’t want to be kept; amazing how facts don't matter to many on this board.
Apparently not loud enough or visible enough for one of our other posters .Our band was there and played.
The band is a drummer and a couple of horn players. Most wedding bands have a larger contingent. I could understand how someone could miss them.Apparently not loud enough or visible enough for one of our other posters .
Joedib says there was NO SJU Band at the game . Several others disagree and say the Band was there ?
So what’s the true verdict ? It’s not enough to have different views on the game but , when se can’t determine if the Band was there or not , what hope is there ?
All true and maybe Rick takes a look at the defense, decides it isn't salvageable this season and goes all in on just trying to score 90 every game. If that's what he does, they'll need a bunch of points from dingle. Another way to keep dingle on the floor might be to go with a 3 guard lineup and put dingle on the opposing team's 3. he'd give up size, but that may avoid the blow bys. IDKI wouldn't give up on Dingle so fast. He has never been a top flight shooter but he will have games where he is hot. He just had a horrendous game yesterday where we could have used a few of his shots to fall. I can't speak to his defense and maybe Alleyne would be better at times but don't forget he shot 4-8 from three against Utah with 18 points and five assists so this narrative that he can't score at a high level isn't the problem.
I think it may be helpful for him to come off the bench. His defense will be less highlighted against the second unit, his offense will be more necessary when Jenkins and Soriano are taking a breather. And if he's playing well, he can finish the game. All true and maybe Rick takes a look at the defense, decides it isn't salvageable this season and goes all in on just trying to score 90 every game. At one point I was getting Bill Walton vibes from the guy. He SUX! How many times did he put down the other announcer guy....patheticThe ESPN announcers are consistently awful. For selfish reasons I’m really hoping the Big East renews with Fox.
He’d fit in here perfectlyAt one point I was getting Bill Walton vibes from the guy. He SUX! How many times did he put down the other announcer guy....pathetic
Maybe they split the band up because there definitely was another band playing at our Men's game besides BC's and BC's band wasn't playing during the timeouts that our Cheerleaders and Dance Team were on the floor while the other band was.Band was at the women's game on campus vs. URI.
Our band was there, albeit a truncated version. As someon else pointed out, the women played a home game yesterday so the band was split up apparently.Maybe they split the band up because there definitely was another band playing at our Men's game besides BC's and BC's band wasn't playing during the timeouts that our Cheerleaders and Dance Team were on the floor while the other band was.
If Colorado caught the wave of the Deion Sanders effect they would have lost. Neon Deion’s Buffaloes list 7 of their last 8 games to finish 4-8."Colorado must be a sleeper team . They destroyed Miami."
The Deon Saunders effect, they caught the wave .
Doesn't most plays usually start and go through the guy playing the point? If he played like he knew he wasn’t a PG I don’t think many people would have an issue. I never piled on Phil Greene for that reason.
It’s not a small problem either, it’s massive. Nobody feels comfortable out there dribbling or creating because he’s such a ball hog.
Everything goes through him. I’ve watched dozens of teams this season and I haven’t seen anyone else be dominated by one guard like this.
Did Pitino miss on evaluating every single ball handler or is Jenkins just sucking the life out of this team? It’s one or the other. The guards look to pass it before they even catch it. Dunlap got rid of the ball like it was lava last night. Why are they all so uncomfortable?
The Band issue is becoming a important discussion here . But , splitting it up , between Men’s and Women’s games needs further attention .Maybe they split the band up because there definitely was another band playing at our Men's game besides BC's and BC's band wasn't playing during the timeouts that our Cheerleaders and Dance Team were on the floor while the other band was.
So ,in a few words , it didn’t end as a Prime Season for Deon . Didn’t his son get hurt earlier in the season ?If Colorado caught the wave of the Deion Sanders effect they would have lost. Neon Deion’s Buffaloes list 7 of their last 8 games to finish 4-8.
I guess you didn't see the wink () emoji. Besides, it still early, plenty of time for the Buffaloes to go on a losing streak. If Colorado caught the wave of the Deion Sanders effect they would have lost. Neon Deion’s Buffaloes list 7 of their last 8 games to finish 4-8.
Saw the wink emoji but didn’t interpret it the way you meant itI guess you didn't see the wink () emoji. Besides, it still early, plenty of time for the Buffaloes to go on a losing streak.
I think you might be thinking of their star two-way player, Travis Hunter, who was injured on a cheap shot after the whistle by a Colorado State player. He did return after missing several games and actually went bowling a few weeks after the incident with the guy that injured him. Hunter is a pro prospect as a Receiver and Corner. Saunders sons stayed relatively healthy through the season. So ,in a few words , it didn’t end as a Prime Season for Deon . Didn’t his son get hurt earlier in the season ?
