Before the season started, I thought this was a no-doubt tourney team. Possibly even a top 25 team. In fairness, I hadn't seen most of the kids play. But on paper the talent seemed to be there. And with Rick at the helm, I felt confident that he not only brought in the right talent, but that he would have them working as a cohesive unit in no time. Once the season started, I started to develop doubts. At this point I see the tourney as a long shot. I'm still fine with that. Just like every other new coach, Rick gets a pass year one. Disappointing, but I'm willing to sacrifice this season(if need be) for the future of our program under Rick.
I feel ya but I'm not giving up on receiving a bid to the NCAA Tournament. Do our part in conference play and we can possibly find ourselves on the "right side" of the bubble.

So disappointing. Especially the defense, and consistently giving up leads quickly against teams on par or better than us. Why not try a zone every once in a while? All Pitino talked abour was that all the recruits could shoot. What? Where? When? Dingle is such a disappointment at this stage. This is a middle of the pack BE team at best, at this point.

I like the kid as he's extremely humble and down to earth, but I wish he had a killer instinct ala Marcus Hatten.
Completely different players physically. Dingle is not as athletic, and certainly not as active without the ball in his hands.
On top of the obvious deficiencies at this level, he is not a good passer. The BC center had NINE assists to Jordan's ONE.
This is definitely a game we let slip away but unfortunately we got nada from our bench today and Dingle was just atrocious offensively.
The loss of the offensive skill of RJ Luis is hurting this team more than expected.
Defense can be improved but we need more offensive options when Dingle is shooting <20%.

Think your too kind about Dingle not as active w/o ball. He's basically a statue.

I hear the complaints about Dingle but we have ZERO and I mean ZERO chance of dancing without him starting and being one of our top 2 scorers. If I were going to bring anyone off the bench right now it would be Jenkins.

Not giving up Dink, but don't think it's likely based on what I've seen. Just don't think some of our issues are fixable. But if anyone can do it it's Rick, so we'll see.

I'm definitely aware of their differences athletically (although Dingle isn't no slouch athletically) but one can still have a killer instinct without being a great athlete. It's about mentality.
