All that top 25 talk was wishful thinking. This team has not shown anywhere near that expectation. We all thought with experienced players (we are one of the most experienced team in the US) the esteemed Rick Pitino and heralded players we coukd t lose. What we didn’t see is that our key players, Dingle, Jenkins, Ledlum all came from mid majors.

Our point of attack offense is embarrassing. So many guys blow by dingle, and others easily evade him on off the ball picks and cuts to the basket. It’s puts our big men in a terrible situation.

Jenkins is the guy. We can talk about how frustrating he is, but I trust him a whole lot more than Ledlum or Dingle
Frustrating especially when you had a hard nose, defense first guy who wanted to stay a Johnny. I get the sense Jan 2 at MSG is going to be tough on our ball handlers.

It’s just interesting cause when Rick was putting the roster together, those who suggested the team was light defensively, were met with “Rick isn’t going to recruit guys who can’t shoot, doesn’t matter what they do on defense”

Well we can’t get stops and we shot 4-19 from 3 so maybe recruiting a couple defensive stoppers (or keeping the one we had in house) would’ve helped this team.

Rick can coach that’s for sure, but for at least this season… we might be outgunned

What will be tough to swallow will be going to Butler and losing to a team with Posh. Not cause they are not that good but cause we may have to acknowledge that Pitino may have made some mistakes putting this team together.

Lots of people thought that when we got Dingle it made up for the Clayton miss and we'd be better off... but damn not even close. Clayton is killing it at UF and has another year left too

I think the loss was bad. And I think we need Luis. Ledlum is fine as far as I’m concerned, he dues enough to merit his minutes. Jenkins needs to play more Pg less hero SG. And Dingle needs to give SOMETHING.

Thus far, the team has shown it can play well but the team, like many of the individual players, is very inconsistent.

Still early but maybe a shake up would help. More of Taylor and Alleyne. Less Dingle. Someone said bring him off the bench. Maybe that would be best for now.

I’m hopeful Pitino and staff learned a lot about the portal this offseason and with having a full season before it opening, will be ready to pounce on top prospects. Clearly there was an early learning curve

Very disappointing, that’s all I can say. Maybe Pitino has lost something off his fastball? Who knows? All I know is things better change fast. I haven’t lost faith in our two four star freshmen yet, but I did think they would be a little further along at this point.

Really a bummer that neither of them are even ready to be low end bench contributors at this time
