2025 / 2026 Roster

In Zach's twitter spaces last night, Matt A said this team is not a one hit wonder. Said they have the ability to have the top ranked transfer class and bring in some of the top ranked players in the portal
Being NIL “consigliere” is not an easy job. It’s a “deliver talented, right fit guys” every year gig. Hitting donors for $ is also not a day at the beach task. On the other hand, this spot is well compensated and seems quite suited for Matt A.

Fran F. is really missing an opportunity by not awarding a Loose Balls Award at the end of the season.

Glover in the last few game has impressed me. I'm a huge Kadary fan, but I am thinking it's possible we get a similar Zuby for Soriano type of net boost losing Kadary. Glover is quick as hell on defense...he might be quicker than Wilcher which is great at the 3... and he's very efficient with his movement. He can also shoot as well as get to the basket.

Let's say he flirts with 40% from three and is a lockdown defender that can guard 1-3 and keep bigs honest. Our press would be supercharged, our perimeter defense would be better, our spacing would be much better, shooting would be better...and then we lose defensive rebounding, some strength, interior defense, and the bully drives.

A senior RJ (fingers crossed) and a junior Wilcher can help make up for some of the driving we'd lose. Prey can take any big man off the bounce next year when he's seasoned. The increased speed will make this a more Pitino type of a team.

Admittedly, a ton of that hinges on RJ returning and hopefully learning to distribute more.
Repole will do whatever it takes to keep RJ another year!

With Hamilton out at FSU after this year, its even more likely that we take another shot at Jamir Watkins
does he have eligibility left ? People from his camp contacted St Johns very early on in the process last year

if RJ goes Pro and gets drafted Great ! If RJ makes the financial decision that its in his benefit to come back 1 more year under Pitino Great

If RJ goes pro we just get Storr back at a discount :)

I thought the bad pass looked great from my seat at midcourt, because he immediately advanced the ball, not pulling a Sean Evans with head down dribbling wildly. Unfortunately he didnt see the defender trailing the play who picked off the pass.

FTs are free throws. He shoots 76% from the line. I didn't see his misses as chokes or succumbing to the pressure, but who knows? He's probably our best player with the highest ceiling, but you're entitled to your opinion.

I am still not disagreeing with you. LOL

Just disagreeing when you said he made his free throws. If you had added except for the most important ones this entire discussion would be moot.

On the pass, which I brought up after, it was kind of as you mentioned. But if he had just grabbed the ball instead of trying to poke it forward he would have maintained possession. And IMVHO if Deivon or KR were in the same situation it might not have worked out that way. If it was Sim or Jaiden it could have been worse.

RJ is still great despite all this and his oft boneheaded drives and the team would not be where it is without him. While I maintained early during his troubles that KR was, is and will be the most important and best basketball player on this team, this team goes nowhere without RJ and Zuby as well.
