Zach Brown Arrested Again

Hope the kid gets himself straight ended out. But, as far as the program goes, while I recognize that there was high probability that he wouldn't make it next year, at least we had a chance for 2018.

Another disappointing setback that will slow our progress further.

The real tragedy in all of this is that we are not that very good at the moment and the press this gives to the public makes us even look more pathetic to the average bball fan. Atleast this happened before this kid got here I don't feel sorry for this kid and think his rehab is behind bars. Hopefully the school will put out a press release cutting him and distanting itself from this loser.

Bardo or whatever the name of the play by play guy on tonight's game talked about help being on the way for STJ in the form of a 7 footer. Guess bad news travels slowly on FS1.

Agreed - It makes the program look worse than tonight's poor performance. There was a risk here. It damages the reputation of the Program. Schools stayed away from Jordan for good reason. You would think St John's would have learned from that one. Given the pressure on our two recent coaching staffs to win it is understandable why they chase these risks, but where is the Administration? Heads in the sand.

I picked a good time to move out of the country. It looks like a fun couple of days to be a SJU fan.

Do you guys mind putting Bucknasty up until Mid March? :)

Yeah, that's the real tragedy. A million arrests is a statistic, one arrest is a public relations nightmare.

There is room in the crawl space under our stairs. He will have to share it with our cats.

I disagree with those who say that SJU "should have learned its lesson after Jordan." All good D1 programs have their share of troubled kids who get into trouble before and during their playing careers.

In case you missed it, Xavier just reinstated Myles Davis, who was suspended for 15 games after having 2 separate assault charges laid on him. I don't hear anyone condemning Xavier as a desperate school because of it.

Maybe Brown is too far gone, but we'll inevitably have more Jordans and hopefully the staff can help set them on a good path.

Ron Artest started the worst brawl in NBA history.
Jayson Williams assassinated a limo driver than tried to cover it up
Our whole team ran a train on a hooker than decided not to pay her.
I think we will get over this pretty quickly

I like to think of the Artest thing as the best brawl in nba history

True

Its not a PR nightmare. Our play lately is the PR nightmare. It was worth the risk, but didn't work out. Dave on JJ tells the story about a troubled kid on the DePaul campus all ready to sign. But the higher ups didn't want to take a chance on D. Wade.

To be fair, only 3 players ran a train on her. Two more I guess watched. Since the program never recovered from that night, the ZB arrest is just an asterisk at this point.

There really could a be a book written about this program and all the crazy stuff that has gone over the years. Don't know how well it would sell but it would be entertaining for sure.

Just this program?

ran into someone very close to program today...lets just say Mr. Brown might be available again very soon.
Puzzling. I was all for taking a chance. But, sometimes you have to cut your losses.
