Zach Brown Arrested Again

Brown is an unredeemable. I have no doubt that he will spend the majority of his life hurting people and going in and out of jail. While a catholic university needs to show compassion, it should balance that compassion with the safety of all it's students, ball players, and faculty.
The good of the many outweigh the good of the few.

Hey now- It's "irredemable", not "unredeemable." Did you not learn anything from the Hillary campaign?

In future, when posting the stats for prospective recruits, please list: points, rebounds, assists, turnovers and felony arrests. Thank you.

This was totally a misdemeanor, doesn't show up in the box score, it's more of a hustle stat!

i was looking for the old thread on Zach Brown where did it go ?
You know ,the one where all the posters were writing about what a good kid he is, and everyone needs a second chance, and the staff did their due diligence.
I told you, we don't need this type of kid around our program.
This hurts our program going forward in multiple ways.

All jokes aside I have no problem taking shot on kid. We are going to have to take chances to get some of these kids. Took a shot and it didn't work out. No harm, no foul.

It sounds like this kid needs more help than any basketball staff can give him.
seems to me he needs quicker hands

I hope the kid gets the help he needs. I've read that his mom was a drug addict, and may have been doing them while he was in utero. if that's the case, he was starting on an unequal playing field since the day he was born.

Would have been nice to have him here, and sorry it won't work out, but I don't want to see the guy in and out of jail and dead 30 years prematurely. Hope another school takes a risk and it pays off for them.

After reviewing the video clearly it's misleading. As a St Johns fan I see him counting change then giving it to the cashier then her obviously not knowing how much change he should get back and him being the generous helpful person that he is helps her take the correct change out of the register

And ripping cashier's hand off was an accident. :)
that was a little grainy :)

Just such a waste of talent.
Unfortunately there's no cure for kleptomania.
in some counties they cut off your hands. That's a cure I'd think

You do know he brought coupons Mike
then obviously it wasn't at rite aid because when you buy 1 tube of toothpaste your get a 3 foot long receipt with crappy coupons on it

Was going to write "unbelievable" ... but sadly it's all-too-believable. The older I get, the more my hopes and dreams keep lowering. Forget about winning a national championship. Forget about getting to another Final Four. Forget about winning a another conference title. Before I die, I'd just like to see us win another first-round game in the BE tournament.

Dear Zach,

We know the program is going through a rough patch but if you didn't want to come to Queens, all you had to was call, email, text, tweet even... We would have understood. No need for a Walgreens decoy..

Signed,

The Coaching Staff

I pass by the Walgreen's he stole from all the time. It pays to have long arms if your crime of choice is stealing from the cash register. Brown and his brother showed more teamwork than SJU did against Georgetown. Can his brother play? Maybe we can sign him too for our all criminal team.

I seem to recall the rumor being that he went after Rico or Chiles at practice.

Rico, and he probably had it coming.

My theory is we needed a good run to make tourney so Lavin gave himself a built in excuse for not making the tourney. I am sure Harrison was a pain in the ass but now knowing what we do about Obekpa and Jordan, funny they never got an indefinite suspension. He knew he needed to make the tourney that last year. Harrison could have stabbed Hines and not gotten suspended.

I don't know if it was you or someone else who brought this up when Harrison was suspended. I thought it was just another one of those ridiculous conspiracies (sorry for the harshness). Now in hindsight after watching Jordan's disappearing acts and other antics by him and Obekpa, it seems a whole lot more plausible.

The school has had plenty of opportunities to right the ship and always seemingly makes the wrong decision. I'll always support them and hope they turn the corner, but it's an irrelevant program and has been for way too long. Doubt anything changes with CM at the helm.
