Yankees 2024 Season

Great signing. Good number too. Not that much of an overpay IMO.

Can't dump dumb and dumber it seems. Need to attach Gleyber with one of them I think. Hicks is shot. I don't think he can play in NY anymore. But with multiple years left he might be harder to dump than Donaldson. I'd be fine with a MI of Peraza and Cabrera.

Rodon a great signing and glad they only had to give him 6 years. Now would love to see them trade for one of those young left fielders from the Diamondbacks, hopefully either Varsho or Thomas.
Not big on Varsho. Don't need another hitter who can't bat 250. The other two OF's look promising. But wonder if they want someone more proven in LF.

Hear you on the batting average and he does strike out a lot. On the other hand, a lefty pull hitter with pop at the Stadium who is supposedly an excellent defensive outfielder and would give them a great defensive outfield. I would probably rather have a lefty contact hitter who is also a good defensive left fielder.

God, I'd love to see Hicks and Donaldson off this roster. Be happy to have as many youngsters as possible on the opening day roster. Unfortunately, short of DFA'ing them, I think we're stuck with them.

I would not be sad with giving Varsho a chance. Solid defender. Young and not a long term $ contract, if he doesn't pan out. He is a pull hitter, who put all 27 of his HRs into right/right center field last year. His swing is built for Yankees Stadium and with the shift rule coming, it could benefit his average.

Seems like he isn't coming back. Couldn't figure out why then I saw today he wants 5 years. Adios if so.
That’s too bad, defensively an outfield of Judge, Bader and Benintendi would be second to none.
