Got a little fortunate with the wind that last batter, but he got through 7 allowing only 1 run.Saw that coming. They’re hitting Cole hard now.
Almost blew up at the end, but a terrific outing overall.

I don't think play-by-play has ever been his strong suit. In terms of studio work, he may be the best there ever was.I've grown to really dislike Bob Costas ( although he was great doing olympics except when he got that mutant eye thing )
Boone better f'ing leave Holmes in for the 9th, no stupid crap from Boone.Another brilliant inning from Holmes.
3 outs to the ALCS.
Red Hot Stanton leads off the 2nd with a double, and Big Mouth Chisholm strikes out (although the 4th pitch was ball 4) and the Yankees typically die on the vine.Cole looks very sharp through the first four innings, but only being up 1-0 is very nerve-wracking.
Stop the presses! Stop the presses! Stanton is not dead. Those who had him buried and pushing up daisies can enjoy the crow that they have to eat.Red Hot Stanton leads off the 2nd with a double, and Big Mouth Chisholm strikes out (although the 4th pitch was ball 4) and the Yankees typically die on the vine.
I hope not. Losing to the Mets (who are a poor matchup for the Yankees) would be the worst, and winning would be more of a relief. No dominant teams this year. I thought Dodgers would be but they are scuffling. Subway Series a real possibility to keep us engaged until SJ starts.

I'd rather lose to Detroit or Cleveland, then get to the World Series, and lose to the Mets. I don't expect many people to agree with that sentiment.
I agree - losing to the Mets is the worst possible outcome (since the Red Sox are nowhere to be seen), But Subway Series would be most entertaining to the tri-city sports crowd.I hope not.
