Rodon should feel ashamed cashing his Yankee paychecks.
 
yanks could not take advantage that joey gallo did not start.
stolen bases lead directly to runs 3 and 4 scoring.
the 2nd run had a stolen base and balk to help out.
the way they ran on the yanks was beyond embarrassing.
lefty rodon has no clue on how to keep a runner close to first.
where was pettitte? he was the best on holding runners to first.
I thought pettitte was some kind of consultant.
top of 9th, down by 3. you need base runners. yanks get 2 on.
why are they stealing?
 
First base is a problem. Time to try something else.
DJ is about shot. Time to move on.
Some have suggested Wells when not catching.
How about Cabrera?
 
It will be nice to finally see some righty starters against the Cardinals this weekend. They've only faced 3 of them in their last 12 games, and not a single one of those teams changed their rotation, or made a call-up to pitch a lefty against (teams don't really do that anymore. Not in the regular season, anyway). It was just bad luck, at least in that department.

starting to feel that jazz at 3rd is at most an average fielder.
if jazz catches that foul pop, the inning is over and no runs.

Needed win. Stroman worked in and out of trouble, aided by Chisholm's dropped foul popup. Nice outing though, getting DPs.

Fortunately, Wells showed up tonight, and Soto too, on the offense and defense.

Far too many strikeouts tonight against yet another mediocre pitching staff. 13. Ugh.

Thought Volpe was going to ruin Holmes again.

Tough team to watch.

I know you're kidding on that last one, but at least twice in this game, the HP ump called the low and away pitch on him a strike. That's usually when he starts going into funks, because when the pitcher goes there again, he has to swing at it. That gets him all out of whack. Sometimes, I think he's just better taking the three strikes in a situation like that, and getting 'em next time (obviously, with a game on the line, you can't do that).
