Xavier (MSG), Wed., Jan. 22 , 7p, FS-1

I paused the game and just finished watching it. What a comeback!!! I really thought with the way this game was going, and no Deivon, that we were done, but this team has grit! They play hard and even without shooting they find ways to win.

Defense and effort will make you win a lot if games, and both of those skills travel!

Great win boys, enjoy!

I commented early that Kadary looked noticeably faster. The next 2 months should only get better there.
But you dropped the ball and got nervous tonight . Let’s be fair because I’m your biggest backer and aspire to talk in the 3rd person like you 😀

That three Sim shot in rhythm coming off a screen was a thing of beauty. Makes you realize just how few of those he gets. They run no sets for him, and Kadary and RJ never drive and dish for an open three. If he got more of either, you'd see that % go up.
Oh, we do next to nothing for that kid offensively. He gets to step into one three a game if he’s lucky.

I don’t get it. Let Kadary drive and kick to Scott who swings to Wilcher in the same-side corner.

RJ needs to kick it once in a while when the lane closes. Nobody gets less open looks from deep than us.

Sat right behind the bench, a row behind Repole and a row in front of Franco. First half was like a morgue, but the Garden got crazy and stayed crazy when we cut the lead to 6 with great D. 14.5k is a great crowd on a freezing Wednesday night. NYC is getting behind this special team.

Happy I don’t read this board while at games because some of these posts are vicious. We’ve been crushing people in the 2nd half all season and wore down a pretty good team on a night we shot 9% from deep, but you’d think we haven’t shown the ability to win ugly most of the season.

Yeah, I’d love to win every game by 20 going wire to wire, but there’s something awesome about a team with this much heart and guts.

We can all use a week chilling in first place and watching other teams lose.

And yet he's still a basketball moron who gives back anywhere from 25% - 50% of his production with bonehead plays. When it's 25% it's great. When it's 50% like tonight, not so great. Also difficult to watch and negative for his teammates. But stats, amirite?
And thus the great ST John’s tradition of hating on our best player continues. Listen he is flawed but clearly our best player. He almost broke me today but he we would have a hard time scoring without him.

Disagree, he had other opportunities but a is the confidence to take than due to his shooting woes.
He passed up one, which I noted at the time. That doesn't negate my point: they dont run anything for him and he barely ever gets a kick out from the paint.

He passed up more than one and there were off cuts and curls outside where he received the ball but instead of pulling up, he put it on the floor and drove. Each time several of us in the crowd yelled, “shoot the ball”.

We are winning next week against gtown we are beating down kim English to baby speak and when we are eating lawmen smart . Then as buckets Hasidic baby maker predicted we are coming back against creighton top 10 in the country and we will get a 3-4 seed

The three in the corner off the nice dish from Kadary. He should have shot that, but he wasn’t ready. The top shooters for other teams see 6-8 of those.
