Xavier (MSG), Wed., Jan. 22 , 7p, FS-1

I would have put the chances of us winning with 13 minutes left at close to zero
For some reason I never doubted we would come back and win. Unlike other SJU teams in the past this team gives me confidence and I can’t explain it. We still play some ugly bball at times but then somehow come out on top. I worry now if we can win when we are up at the half and prefer to be down at the half 🤣

Everyone who said this game was over at half, that we need to Smith to win, or that we won’t be ranked again after the loss today… please just take 10 seconds and think before you post your unreasonable doomer takes. They aren’t wanted here
Should refrain from posting during games. A lot of those post don’t age well.

Just got back from the game… few observations

This team is special. Gritty never say die

This was the Kadary game IMO

Rick has done a masterful job bringing prey and Vince along…Vince quality mins in 1st half and prey in 2nd

Tough game for Zuby and RJ…RJ reverted to too many 1 on 3 tries

Wilcher may be a bit off his rocker. Always talking and gyrating

Smallish crowd but was loud when we made our comeback

Such a fun and maybe special season

That three Sim shot in rhythm coming off a screen was a thing of beauty. Makes you realize just how few of those he gets. They run no sets for him, and Kadary and RJ never drive and dish for an open three. If he got more of either, you'd see that % go up.
Disagree, he had other opportunities but a is the confidence to take than due to his shooting woes.

I haven't read any comments on this thread yet since I just got home but I hope you all realize the fans were behind the team and cheered them to an incredible come from behind victory. I think our president said a few silent prayers in the second half that also helped.
Kudos to a well prepared X team that rotated the ball perfectly and played excellent defense.....certainly better than us.
Smith was really missed in this game but KR came up big in the second half.
