It really felt like when we were down 8-12 in the 2nd half we really should’ve been down 18. That’s what kept me optimistic when we slowly chipped away the first 10 min of the 2nd half and were still playing like crap.

It was also a little surprising Miller let the tempo of the game get away from them so badly. Could have been fatigue?

Big credit to ZUBY. The guy was all out of sorts 1st half but remained undeterred and played his butt off in the 2nd half and OT. Bravo!

Love it that there is no simple solution to beating this team. Many different weapons and, even when the best weapons aren't firing, relentless team defense keeps us in the game. Looking very, very solid!

While I will admit as an RJ fan that he had a rough game with some questionable decisions. In the end, he come through at the foul line!
Wilcher offensively, still can’t shoot but had an overall good offensive game with some great passes. But he has to use his head more at games end as his bone headed mistakes are head scratching.

In the end, Zuby, Luis and Kadary came through.

Also have to point out how well conditioned these kids are. Starters are playing heavy minutes and don't appear gassed late in games or OT, even when asked to press.

I think a lot of that has to do with Rick's "odd" subbing in the first half. He gives these guys decent breaks in the 1st 20 so they are more fresh in the 2nd

Looks like I got home from work at the right time. I joined in at 58-55 Xavier.

Outstanding defensive effort for what I watched - the rotations and switching were on point, and Kadary Richmond did a fantastic job of working the mid range game and being ball dominant when it was needed. They were actually good at the line tonight too!!!

This looks to be a chance for a special season - the kids just have to listen to Pitino and continue to grind.

I give the crowd a ton of credit. We cut it from 14 down to 10, and it was just loud as hell the rest of the game. Like, everyone sensed what was coming.

Good point . Actually I thought the X players were the tired club in the last 7-8 minutes of regulation and nearly all of OT .
No doubt the defense in the 2 nd half wore them down ..
