REALLY? It might be recruits seeing how bad our play has been, see opportunity in unseating the holdovers..

Why on God's earth would we be trying to land Diallo??? This team needs someone that can shoot, and shoot well..we don't need another project..The shop is full of them right now..If the kid is that great why isn't a school in his back yard(wake forest) recruiting him? Neither has Duke, or UNC, State is but they could always use a project.. We need a scorer, and I am certainly glad to hear Lavin and staff finally passed on another garage project.
1. Another great example of a StJohns fan exaggerating a players abilities. Christian Jones was a 3* recruit coming out of high school. Last season Christian averaged 2.5 points and 1.2 rebounds per game. Enright wants us believe that his redshirt has scared off the 14 recruits which Mr. Lavin has offered during the 2014 recruiting cycle. Lets hope that Christian develops into a NBA lottery pick but as it stands now if a recruit is intimidated to come to St.John's because of Jones then that player is not a competitor and should not play in the Big East.
2. Here is a question to ponder: With the skill set that Harrison, ,Greene, Branch, Balamou, Jordan, Pointer, Obepka, Sampson currently have, which of those players could start for Villanova, Creighton or Xavier?

last I checked Obekpa and Balamou are both projects, we do not need another project...Every team needs a few projects, unfortunately we are filled with them..The kid Lavin is going to steal from Sean Miller is a legit shooter, and should get us in the dance next season..

You guys sound like annoying girlfriends. His recruiting has been top notch. (At least on paper/rankings/rivals) so questioning that is silly. When the players he initially got here were announced 99% of you were creaming in your pants.
Judging him/his staff because they didn't attend a tournament is ridiculous.

Very few to no posters are heavily connected anymore. The flow of information has come to a halt the last few years for various reasons. Lavin slow-played several recruits during his time here and that info got out from sources that have either been asked to be quiet or that are no longer with the program.
I would not be surprised if Coach has some players he's very confident about that we don't know.

I'm not one of those posters that had to eat crow every time he reeled in a recruit. or even better, one of the guys who would hide for a month instead of eating their crow like a man. I trusted the man in each recruiting cycle, but something just feels really different now. I'd love to be wrong, but not sure I am.
