Where is our coach today?????

Lets hope that the Lavin supporters are correct and he has a group of surprise high level recruits waiting to announce they will enroll at StJohns.

As, a "fan" of the program you should hope that is also the case.

MJ I cannot speak for Otis, but at his point in time I have the same feelings of despair at the state of this program as I did at the same juncture in Norm's tenure. Not saying we're not better off at the same juncture, I guess we are, but Norm also had a much bigger hole to dig out of. My feeling is that the best that we can hope moving forward under Lavin's leadership is relatively consistent mediocrity. And that is the "best" we can hope for IMO. So quite frankly it's hard for me to get excited about a couple of late "rabbits" that Lavin might pull out from his hat. Especially considering that he has shown no ability what so ever to find diamonds in the rough or serviceable talent at the JC level. Hell he's barely been able to find serviceable talent out of the top 100 ranked level kids he's brought in. Don't mean to be so negative, but I am so sick and tired of hearing "wait till next year(or the year after or the year after that...)" I aint no spring chicken and I've only got so many "next year's" left. OK maybe I'm being overly dramatic, but you get the point.

Don't worry Monte. I believe that if you happen to die before we win our first NCAA championship, the day we do, you will have one of the best seats in the house :)

Thanks Beast, that's reassuring and gives me something to look forward to on the other side :)

Fox 1 not carried there however Monte. :)

May have been mentioned before, but great High School basketball tourny at CTK tomorrow and Friday, then championship games at MSG Saturday. Top teams in USA Today top 25 poll competing for national championship. Here's link:http://www.dicksnationaltournament.com/.

Hope Lavin and staff are there.

I have a feeling that where I'm going, a packed Carnesecca Arena will seem pretty chilly.

They won't be. As far as I can tell that tournament will be during a dead period.

If that's the case they will still be blamed for not being there. Where is he btw. Lol

First he's too lazy to recruit. Now he's too lazy to do TV. Unbelievable!

GEEZ! It was legitimate question! We know your first sentence is true this year but lazy to do TV? People keep posting he is in LA at Fox studios. True or false? If he is what are the impressions of fans here who have seen him?
