Welcome back Julian!
Congrats to Justin C. I saw him play a few times last year and thought of him as more of a wing/scorer than a strong rebounder. To be in Dejuan Blair's company is very impressive and he played all 40 minutes in Pitt's 1 point win!
Their stats are similar, but in your opinion are their games very similar too?

Justin more perimeter oriented

Beast, I only saw Justin play 2 or 3 times last year so my opinion is qualified by that small sample size. Watching Justin play, he just appeared to be more comfortable as a wing player and definitely liked the three ball more than Julian (126 threes or appx. 35% of his shots as opposed to 77 threes or about 27% of Julian's shots last years seems to bear that out to some degree). Having said that, neither were very good from three last year, Justin only 26% and Julian 31%. I really like Julian's post and midrange game and didn't see much of that from Justin in the few times I watched him but it may have just been those games as you are right he rebounded as well as Julien last year overall.

Justin was also only a 3-star kid. Everybody slept on these two young stars. Happy to have Julian here.

As good as his freshmanYear was his growth this year is certainly a pleasant surprise. Even  with LJ's departure creating more offensive opportunity for him, this has been an unbelievably bright spot for us.   His improvement goes beyond the numbers.

Almost immediately last season, our staff identified that even with LJ, Julian was the guy who could have an NBA future.   The thing that I really appreciate is that he is a throwback type of player.   He keeps his mouth closed, he doesn't do a lot of fancy stuff, makes a ton of sound decisions, and is especially fundamentally sound defensively in big moments.   He has gotten called for some fouls in big situations where his defense was textbook - well positioned, arms straight up to block or impede shot, and the offensive player created the contact.

Great point. Last year shot 31% from 3 point range, this year shooting 41%. He wasn't even someone I thought to be such a primary 3 point threat, but this year he has really made it a big part of his game. Also averaging 7.2 rebounds as well which is nice.

I'm not sure the NBA will view him as an NBA level talent, but I am sure glad we have him.

Champs is a very Villanova-esque player.  Kid is only going to get better.

Maybe they are the Van Arsdale twins.

Dick Van Arsdale: 921 G, 16.4 PPG, 4.1 RPG, 3.3 APG
Tom Van Arsdale: 929 G, 15.3 PPG,  4.2 RPG, 2.2 APG

Yep, perimeter game improvement a complete shocker to me. He cannot he left open anywhere on the court. My one knock on him is that he needs to be more assertive overall,  and especially at crucial moments in games.
