Welcome back Julian!

This is really a non issue. Julian is out of the boot. He may or may not play in the first game.

1st games are usually close for the first half of the first half. A lot of guys will be getting jitters out (even with no fans) and it’ll be back and forth. But we will eventually pull away.

I said it before, it’s a pretty minor ankle sprain. If everything plays out with the season as they have prepared for it to, he won’t be out for long. Maybe the first couple of games.

I’ll check in tomorrow to get a status.
Wait a minute, so 95% of the board is saying how we will finish 3rd and CMA is a great coach...but we may not beat St. Peter's? A MAAC team? Lol...don't get me wrong St. Peter's is not a great team, but they aren't bad either. They are just decent for their level. If we are to go anywhere this year, we should not have much trouble with them deep into the 2nd half. Maybe they hang around for a half, but if our talent is what most posters say it is, then this should be a relatively easy win. Can't look past them obviously, but if we lose to St. Peter's, what does that say about CMA and our talent? Would it shake anyone's beliefs?
95% of the board, eh? Creating your own narrative, so you can argue against it later, huh? Sort of like you're doing per this post.

We should win our 1st 2 games with ease, keep keep him out until b.c.

I've seen three guys say it. And me, who's too embarrassed to say it out loud. That's clearly 95 percent, right?

No reason we shouldn't win on Wed & Thurs., but not expecting any blowouts. Sure Anderson will mix and match to get a feel of best combos and also pacing to ensure guys are good to go the following afternoon.
There’s no issue in pacing. I saw our new
Guys scrimmage our returning players ie.”our top 10 without Champs”, and we won’t be tired. Cma has these guys in shape. Just getting bugs out of defense and offense will likely be issue early on, but it will not be conditioning nor depth. I also do expect us to keep our foot on the gas early on. We need to be ready for the tougher opponents. Not going to ease into this.
To add on to that, I feel like our NYC freshmen won't have the jitters, at least not ones that last more than a few seconds after their debut.

I was going to post this in the game thread but I agree with MCNPA that we are the much better team. This is going to be a very strange season so I wouldn’t bet on this game. Anderson got the team to play well after we lost Heron last season so I think we will be ok against St. Peter’s and La Salle(who I believe is the stronger of the two). Hopefully Julian can play after that. Lots of games getting cancelled because of COVID so getting in games will be challenging early in the season. Really excited for the start of the season. Fingers Crossed.

How many games does he have to miss before we remove the word "minor"(injury)? ;)

Practicing & dunked over Monte :)

Zach; Julian Champagnie practicing today (in the video below) bodes well for his availability Monday against Boston College.

Wasn't Zach the guy who said he wasn't going to miss any time?;)
Great news! Any word on Dunn? Sounds like he may be out for a while. Sending him my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.

Zach B on quite a duo;

Justin Champagnie -- Julian's twin brother -- went for 22, 10 and 3 for Pitt in a win yesterday. The two brothers are off to a terrific start to the season. #sjubb

Pitt could've had both, but wanted Julian to prep. Thank God!!!

Hopefully one of them uses a free transfer.

He's been my favorite player since he came onboard. Just a pleasure to watch. No drama. Keeps improving!
Coach A and Asst coach Van did a great job recruiting him.

Congrats to Justin C. I saw him play a few times last year and thought of him as more of a wing/scorer than a strong rebounder. To be in Dejuan Blair's company is very impressive and he played all 40 minutes in Pitt's 1 point win!
