Villanova (MSG), Sat., Jan. 11 , 7p, CBSSN

St. John's is 4-1 to start conference play, and boasting the #7 ranked defense in the country per KenPom.

In their five conference games, the St. John's defense has held their opponents to 20, 25, 22, 23, 22 field goals made.

In these five games, they have overwhelmed teams with FG volume attempting on average 17 more shots per game, 72, while holding their opponents to 55.

Even Sean Miller, after St. John's beat Xavier, said he can't remember too many games where a team got that many shots off.

This is how St. John's has won despite shooting 11-74 from three point range in these games. Relentless defense, second and third chances, rebounding, grit and heart.

See you Saturday night at Madison Square Garden.

Tomorrow we abuse Dixon by committee. Scott can definitely help. Their win over UConn was the best thing for us. More juice for the game abd we need to man handle them

Last Gabe I’ll absolutely take missing 3s for suffocating defense and inflicting our will on the boards

That’s why I love the knicks back with oak starks mason etc

We are developing an identity and I F’ing love it

Hell yeah!

Even the 114 gang who have already developed an identity of being old cranks will be ready to contribute.

Andrew we switched from Cable (Spectrum in NC) to Hulu plus live TV last year and happy we did. The only station we don't get that we had on cable is NBATV which costs me a few Knick games a year but very happy we did as we cut our monthly bill by about 40%. And there is no technical issues switching from Hulu to Peacock. Maybe something to look into.

We did the same with YouTube TV. Still requires you to exit an app and enter another one which takes time so if somethings on Peacock I have my table with Youtube TV close by to do lookins at other events or surf the web for scores or porn.

Dixon will see healthy dose of Zuby, Vince, Prey.

Though I think Zuby and Prey are the only ones that can match Dixon's 'quickness'.

Enoch Boakye is Nova's 6'10 center.......I think Zuby will be busy with him. Scott may have his hands full with Dixon.

In my game attending lifetime, all opposing fans have always been OK except Uconn, Providence and Cuse. Providence in particular had some “interesting” individuals in attendance.

I remember getting into it with a couple Kentucky fans in the mid 90's, though I imagine they would be calling me the "interesting" one at the time.

BTW, how are you doing with the wildfires Asstour?

Thanks for asking. We're all safe and sound. 4 miles from the closest evacuation zone in North Santa Monica. Only had one friend. I mean only had one friend in Palisades. She lost her house. Today the winds have died down a lot. Helping our firefighters but I can smell smoke everywhere, which I couldn't when the winds were ripping. Hoping they make a lot of progress at least on barriers before the winds pick up again later this afternoon. It's some scary shit. I can not imagine what it will look like when I go to see the devastation in Palisades and up the PCH once all the smoke clears, if you will pardon the pun.
