Villanova (MSG), Sat., Jan. 11 , 7p, CBSSN

Knicks are on a home stand, playing @ MSG Friday and Sunday. Does Hart/Bridges/Brunson go to the game, and if they wear Nova gear, do they get booed or cheered on the cam? Does Precious go with his brother Gods'Gift and root for the Johnnies? What does Tyler Kolek do? So many questions.

If Nova and UConn games go like I expect, maybe we get 1-2 extra prime time spots at MSG next year?

Educated guess, I also think we'll be more aggressive in adding more Garden games.

MSG suits gotta be kicking themselves giving us a Georgetown game on a Wednesday night. That would've been another hot ticket Fri-Sun. I fully expect that to be changed next year.

Agree - story line of the game was free throw attempts and makes. Wouldn't happen to Uconn at home.

I think Smith’s on ball pressure will rattle their PG
 
As many have commented on , Dixon played all 40 minutes Vs UCONN.
Yet , was credited with only 1 rebound .
Nova Center , Boakye is next to useless . Bad hands, can only dunk , etc .

I’m sure Pitino will use both , Prey and Vince for some minutes . They can harass Dixon for the time they play . He’s nearly automatic from the foul line though and if he makes 10 a game against us , we could be in trouble .

Cats will try and push us to shoot 3’s and we need resist as much as possible .
I liked getting KR off quickly against X and Pitino should play that tune again .
Should be a good and close game .

Nova loves a slow paced game. If we let the game slow down where they can set up their defense and tempt us to shoot threes, it could look like the Creighton and first half of butler game. We need to push the pace and score in transition.

However, if Nova is daring us to shoot and we go back to being a respectable shooting team like we were early in the season, then that will force them to guard the perimeter and open up the paint for us.

Long story short, either play fast in transition or hit your threes (praying for both) and we should be ok

WOW, did not realize that. I watched the game and if you had asked me I would have said at least half dozen, even though he does play on the perimeter often. That is craze, but that does lend credence to the question of whether or not our size will just out muscle them.

When we don’t sell out I am ok w opponents fans being there, makes for a nice atmosphere, UConn excluded. I sat next to Ralph Dalton of GT a few times years back in the day & enjoyed the banter.

In my game attending lifetime, all opposing fans have always been OK except Uconn, Providence and Cuse. Providence in particular had some “interesting” individuals in attendance.

Get a Roku and add Peacock as an App. I’m as tech unsavy as u get and it’s helped me a lot.
 
Our team reminds me right now of West Virginia and San Diego State. Physically we wear teams out. From a style standpoint it’s ugly but, it gets it done. Winning at Xavier and Providence was big. Those are two places they never come thru at. The next 2 are big. I’ll be in the building for both. Cooley is a world class POS but great coach. Let’s beat dem Cats Saturday night!
